Turok remastered could be headed to Xbox One soon

It's been nearly two years since Night Dive Studios confirmed its remastering of the first two Turok games would be coming to Xbox One, and now it looks like that day is nearly here. As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, Turok has now been rated by PEGI for Xbox One, signaling that its release could be just around the corner.

Other than a rating of "16," the move doesn't give us any specific information concerning a release date. Presumably, an announcement isn't too far off, however.

Turok was originally released for the Nintendo 64 and PC in the late 1990s. The series placed players in the role of the titular Turok, who was tasked with taking down everything from Dinosaurs to aliens after finding himself in another dimension. A first-person shooter, Turok's gameplay closely resembled that of another big Nintendo 64 title, Goldeneye.

Night Dive Studios has already released remastered versions of the first two Turok games on PC, tidying each up with better lighting, widescreen support, tweaks to gameplay, and more. It's not clear if the Xbox One release rated by PEGI only includes the first game or if it represents a bundle of both. For now, if you're interested in checking the remasters out, you can pick both up for PC on Steam.
