Unlock 8-bit Anthem music by entering an old Konami cheat code

Let's be honest, the Anthem "VIP Demo" didn't go according to plan. There were a slew of server issues and other technical problems. For hours Xbox One players couldn't even log in, and when they did, they encountered horrendous performance even on Xbox One X. Since then, many outlets have stated that the builds they played were much more polished, but it seems like a lot of gamers are cautious about BioWare's latest venture when they should be excited.

Hopefully BioWare will be able to iron out these disappointing problems before launch if it wants to compete with games like Destiny 2 and The Division 2. Anthem is also an upcoming shared world third-person shooter. BioWare is the studio behind famous franchises like Dragon Age and Mass Effect. The game is expected to launch on February 22, 2019.

Aside from featuring a plethora of content at launch, Anthem should get new cosmetic items, creatures, and even regions after launch. However, there are also some secrets in there. According to a report by TweakTown, you can unlock secret 8-bit menu music by entering an old Konami cheat code into the game. The outlet said the following.

Putting in the Konami code... on Anthem's startup screen essentially transformed the game's music into an NES classic. The code unlocked an altered chiptune version of the main theme song, wistfully transporting us to a time where Nintendo ruled the world... and your neighborhood Blockbuster avidly said Be Kind Rewind. The music is pretty damn good by default, so the bit-style rendition adds even more splendor its strange otherworldly tones.

The Konami Code is "Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A." An open demo is taking place in February so you can try enterting the code then. Are you interested in Anthem? Let us know.
