No thanks, I have a lumia 520,635, and 925. I use android as primary os so this phones are just laying around. . In case my phone breaks I might use them but otherwise I will stick with my $350 64gb oneplus one.
I am waiting for $100 hp stream or asus x205ta deal from Microsoft... Also moto x is much better deal even if more expensive, the 2014 version is on sale for $150. Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android -
I picked one plus myself as well a while back. It's a nice phone but camera is essentially useless. Still use my 920 as daily and one plus as a secondary work phone I don't care about.
-
The camera on this is better than than the htc one m8 and lumia 925 and my iPhone. Well at least in good lighting, htc is the best in low light but 4mp camera blows it.
Well next deal is for Xbox One... Still waiting for $100 laptop... Maybe Thursday... Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android -
I dunno, one plus has a lot of grain and resolution is pretty meh, it does ok in sunlight, but my920 still eats it for breakfast lunch and dinner. And camera app on one plus is pretty poor if compared to Nokia one. Aside from that its a good phone, with meh camera and meh OS, they should make a WP version
-
Seems like a waste of money to have all those devices just laying around...
-
Well, I planned on selling lumia 925 and eBay buyer never paid and I didn't relist it. Gave 520 to my sister. 625 may be Christmas present Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android
-
But at least you know windows phone is secure you can't say that for your primary's can you.
-
Android? Hahaha. Sorry homie. Can't go back to this laggy OS
-
Must have been a while since you've used android, it's not laggy anymore. As a user of both WP and android, having owned two top tier devices: the Icon (WP) and Nexus 5 (Android) I can say that if anything WP under 8.1 and especially update 1 is a lot more laggy than android. It used to be true that WP could handle well on phones with low resources but anyone that has used a 520 or 635 knows different, my 635 is a laggy piece of junk, it's unbearable to use. It's about time WP users stop throwing around how efficient WP is, it's just not true anymore and hasn't been for at least half a year.
-
Seriously??? Do you know what u talking about?? or just u r just a fanboy??
-
My 925 sure is laggy after 8.1. Although I can't say the same for the 930/Icon and other Lumias released this year. You're overreacting here.
-
Not an overaction, just pointing out that a lot of people on here throw around how superior WP is on low budget hardware while android in general is a laggy POS, which from my experience of owning: 635, 928 and Icon has not been the case at all. Also I ordered the Blu Win HD last friday for $100 from deal.fisher on ebay, so it'll be interesting to see how it works out. Think I can deal with a bit of lag while getting an upgraded display over my 635.
-
Funny I have had the opposite experience. I own Lumia's (625, 900, 920, Icon, 1520) and an 8x. I also own a HTC M7 and M8 along with an iPhone 5s. The androids are by far the slowest and the battery drains are horrible. Also I'm not sure what you are talking about regarding low light photography but the M7 and M8 have horrible cameras. I actually prefer the camera on my old HTC Titan over the M8.
-
Np its pretty true my 520 is not very smooth plus every once in a while it will go I a loading screen for like 20seconds gets really annoying
-
Agreed. I want to replace my cracked 920 but all options are bad/downgrade or overpaying for something like a 735 (which is equivalent to the Moto G and thus at least $100 too expensive). Guess I'll keep waiting for the 2015 MS lineup of W10 phones. No sense on spending a bit of money on a worse device, better apply that money to a better phone next year and put up with the cracks on my 920.

Get a 925 for $100-$150 on ebay Posted via the Windows Phone Central App for Android

That's actually a good idea, thanks!

There's no one at the Boston store lol. I got here 45min early for no reason, I guess.
-
Your Win Then,
-
Yep
-
I lied the stores open at 9 even though the deal is live at 8...ridiculous.
-
When the store opened @ 9 AM was anyone waiting in line with you? I'm planning on picking up a Lumia and wasn't sure if the Doorbuster would be crowded. Unlocked Lumia 635 no for $129. Valid 12/14 only!
-
No line it all. I was kind of disappointed.
-
I also just sent in a tip about the next deal. Free Xbox one game with the purchase of any Xbox one bundle.
-
It's sad that the CPU is underpowered for the display, otherwise, it's a nice phone for the cost.
-
Definitely a good buy for the Kids or Grandparents.
-
+ it looks good
-
Even though I prefer Lumia I hope they get sales, need more sales for the WP ecosystem
-
Not even considering, given that it doesn't support all frequencies.
-
Does it support Verizon by any chance?
-
That's what I want to know.
My daughter needs a new phone.
She had an 822 for a bit then my S4 I gave her last spring when I got my Icon but she been wanting a Windows phone again.
We are on Verizon. -
I guess it works on Verizon, but 3G only. No LTE! :-( https://www.windowscentral.com/e?link=https2F%2Fclick.linksynergy.co...
-
Just a heads up, the Blu Win HD won't work on Verizon or Sprint, it is GSM only. It will work with AT&T and T-mobile including their MVNO's.
-
It supports all of AT&T's 3G frequencies and some of T-Mobile's. It's missing AWS, unless the Microsoft Store had changed which variant they're selling.
-
Looks like HTC right?
-
I think guys it will be nice at the end of articles like this one to write a few lines with the specifications of the device so one doesn't always have to look for it on the net, something like a reminder :)
-
+720
-
Excellent point Condri
-
They have before, so they could have just pointed to a previous article. Unless they did, I'm using the Windows Central app which doesn't shiw hyperlinks in the article.
-
Well, you are right, there are hyperlinks although they are visible in the browser only.. Still a few lines at the end of the article won't puzzle anyone I guess :)
-
Phone looks good and I might get it just to have but I already have the 635, 1020,1520, and HTC one m8 for Android so this would be a gift to my niece. Really would like the 535
-
Come on man, send me a gift :P
-
I can take that 1520 no problem.
-
I ordered a couple of theses.. Yesterday I converted one of my coworkers and her husband to Windows phone and this is the phone she went with. I think she'll be pleased.
-
Of course she will
-
Funny shit I went to look at it yesterday sales person had more bad things to say then good Burlington mall Massachusetts
-
At a Microsoft Store?! Wtf, man?! How did you not get her arrested?
-
Nice phone and great price! I'm tempted to grab one for my mother, but she's happy with her Lumia 620 and I think she might find this one a little too big.
-
Tempting becuase compared to my Lumia 635 I love the larger screen, front facing camera, and form factor of this phone. However, lack of LTE support and 32G limitation on the Micro-SD slot are deal killers for me.
-
I didn't realize the 32GB limit on the slot. Probably won't make too much of a difference for our purposes, but still good to know. The slower processor is a slight concern, as well.
-
no LTE? thanks for the heads up
-
I'm torn...I had picked up a couple of Lumia 635s for my daughters to use as media players around the house (their 520s are showing their age). I'm wondering if these would be better choices with the larger screen and 1 GB RAM rather than 512 MB. Not to mention the front facing camera.
-
Picked up a 635 for my mom and a Blu Win Hd for myself. After a few days with the phone really liking it:)No issues at all.If you're a power user it might be a different story, but for a avg user like me it's perfect.
-
Got one for 99.00 no tax
-
Can anyone tell me if this phone is actually good? I want to add it to my collection.
