  • Great, I loved this game on my Xbox will have to get it on my phone now Posted from Windows Central for Windows 10
  • I agree. This was a good game with a great story and art direction.
  • Is this available on other mobile OS's?
  • Yes, it is.
  • Ah and there was me thinking id@xbox was flourishing :'(
  • Ubisoft isn't in the ID@Xbox program (they're one of the largest publishers in the industry) and this is not an Xbox game (another sign that Microsoft's Windows 10 gaming strategy is failing). #SaveXboxWP
  • "Boo! Microsoft got a big time game developer to buy into UWP and release a good game for Windows Mobile! Boo!"
  • Nothing you wrote has anything to do with my reply to nekowhizz.
  • This is a good one guys. Pick it up.
  • Is it cross-buy with Xbox version?
  • Yep. The resolution is not good.
  • I hope xbox one saves are cross synced
  • They might be but I think they'd have to tweak something about the Xbox version then right?
  • Cool, getting this right away.
  • The amount of games, especially the amount of good games available on Windows Phones are skyrocketing since the release of W10M! Bring it on guys :D Posted with the Windows Central app for Windows 10 on HP 250 G1 notebook. It is a scary old monster, I think :D
  • That was a great game
  • Anyone knows if this will add Xbox achs?
  • Works great with Continuum and has full Xbox controller support on Windows 10 Mobile. Playing Valiant Hearts with a controller via Continuum for phones is just like playing it on my Xbox One! I'll be buying all episodes to support Ubisoft as this is a huge win for the Universal Windows Platform and the furtherance of Windows 10 Mobile and Continuum.
  • Is there Xbox support?
  • No sign of Xbox Live Achievements and the icon for the game does not have the Xbox Live banner on it so I am guess that Valliant Hearts does not have them. Even without Xbox Achievements, this is a visual and audio masterpiece with easy to learn gameplay that no one should miss. The historical accuracy is fantastic as well.
  • Wait, Xbox Controller support is already in Continuum?  I thought that wasn't coming until the anniversary update.
  • The latest Redstone mobile build (14332) has a lot of the Anniversary Update code in it and it just so happens that full Xbox controller support, including rumble support, is working with games that developers have coded to support controllers with the Anniversary Update. I was surprised as well.
  • Oh that's cool, I went back to production when I got my 950XL during the BOGO sale.  Tempted to go insider again so I can use a controller when forced to play minecraft with the nieces/nephews... (assuming pocket edition has xbox controller support)
  • Do they have streaming from Xbox One enabled in the Xbox app on redstone now?
  • No Xbox support, no achievements...
  • And......?????
  • No buy, plain and simple
  • Thanks for the reply're not SlayerSpecial.... Thanks for helping destroy the Windows ecosystem with your elitist mentality as if a developer owes you Xbox Achievements. You are a part of the ecosystem with the smallest userbase yet you are basically demanding they put in the time and money to code achievements that are not already in the code thatwas used on iOS/Android. How about you support the developer, to build a relationship, Windows users to Developer, so that they see the value in spending extra time, money and investments in the Windows ecosystem. But no, you and others rather take some ridiculous stance that only hurts you and other Windows users by ensure that the download/install/active user count in the Windows Store is even smaller than the developer already thought due to some childish reasons you all are holding on to. Its like a little kid who barely gets dessert (apps), and someone brings some great ice-cream and the kid pouts and says "I don't want it unless it has sprinkles!!!!) WHATTTTT????? You all sound like ungrateful kids. Keep up you silly boycott while iOS and Android enjoy the latest and greatest apps and games WITHOUT Xbox achievements and the same developers look at Windows users as not only a small userbase but some some of the most unrealistic and complaining, negative bunch of beggars ever. Keep up the good work, helping ensure that the rest of us, that would like more developer support with official apps and Triple A games, never get them. Thanks for your continued non-support of the Windows ecosystem and Windows users world wide.
  • "Thanks for helping destroy the Windows ecosystem with your elitist mentality as if a developer owes you Xbox Achievements." Oh the irony. Here you are judgmentally chastising someone for not wanting to buy something they're not interested in, as if a consumer owed a developer a purchase just because. People can spend their money however they want to spend it. Unless you've purchased everything ever made, you're a hypocrite.
  • Not once did I say that anyone, myself included has to buy everything that is made. The example of a kid wanting dessert, usually not getting it (or complaining about the lack of dessert) and then someone gives ice-cream, the kid likes icream, but then says I don't want it unless it has sprinkles on top still stands. We all can buy or not buy whatever we want but we should be honest enough to see if we are part of the problem or part of the solution. The phrase "not interested in" was never used and was never an angle in this conversation as if someone specifically said I'm not interested in Valiant Hearts and I countered with YOU BETTER BUY IT ANYWAY!!!. That is not what happened here nor is that the point of what is being discussed. This discussion goes beyond money because the "no Xboxachievements, no buy" mindset has been applied to free games. I also focused on user base and active users. This game is free to download but with the mindset of the XBLA people, they won't even download it for free, thus, all the developer sees is low engagement from Windows users. There isn't a separate developer category that says "Reason my app was only downloaded 1,000 times" No, they just see the small numbers and then cease to develop for Windows. If I as concerned about XBA, I would contact the developer of whatever app. Seems like most XBA people only see the issue from a consumer side and complain and don't see it from a developer side, where userbase, downloads and interactions guide project budgets and direction. I'm not chastising anyone to pay money for anything they are not interested in but rather pointing out how ridiculous and unorganized and ungrateful it looks when random people spout "no Xbox no buy", even if the game is free, even if the game is amazing and their ONLY reason for not support the developer, even with a free download is "it doesn't have Xbox achievements". That really does look like the homeless saying "I don't want this free coffee because it isn't Starbucks" I've been homeless during the 80s and learned that looking at the whole picture, I was not in a situation to make demands when I was not I a position where my demands caused another to move in the direction I wanted to. Downvote if you'd like but Windows users are not in a position to be demanding anything from big publishers because they don't have to make anything for our ecosystem. I am not saying buy anything but rather look at the big picture here as it is more important than your own precious XBAs and since the user base IS small, a lack consumer engagement, even for free downloads does not create a change for the better, it cause all of us to lose. VA has over 500,000 DOWNLOADS on Android, that doesn't mean 500k people bought anything in the game. Hundredsof thousands for iOS, same thing. Developers are looking for Downloads, customer engagement, possibility of IAP income but if we, Windows users eek out 5 THOUSAND downloads only, due to a lot of people saying "no Xbox no buy" in the WC comments and never downloading even free apps, the developer will look at it and say "why bother investing in Windows". This conversation, or at least my point is about a mindset and an understanding about the ramifications of that mindset given the factual circumstances of the Windows ecosystem and userbase from a developer standpoint of downloads and active users. Now, if someone is not interested in any of that and just wants to shout "no Xbox, no buy" even when the app is free, go right ahead just don't be the first, second or third to complain when a major developer or app doesn't come to Windows or the developer leaves the Windows ecosystem altogether. Microsoft is doing everything it can to make it easy for developers to bring apps to Windows while some of us seem bent on making Windows look like there isn't a sufficient userbase that validates ANY investment in the platform. We can look at the small picture, our own XBA achievement score or we can look at the big picture, the growth of the Windows ecosystem, even via free downloads that encourage a developer to support the ecosystem that we claim to care about. It seems that some of us care more about XBA than the growth of the Windows ecosystem, even if it doesn't cost us any money.
  • I actually read all that and you, my good sir, are awesome.
  • I'm not a game developer and I don't claim to know how easy or difficult it is for Xbox Live support to be added to these games but when there is already an Xbox One version with Achievements, it baffles me why there are not Achievements on the mobile/tablet versions.. Say what you will but I'm voting with my wallet and I'm not purchasing any UWP games that don't come with the option for Xbox Live achievements.. Now don't get me wrong, I applaud any support of UWP but as a gamer who is invested in the Xbox Live ecosystem, I would like for these developers to take that one extra step in order to bring that extra value to the "Xbox" gaming advantage of UWP and Microsoft's gaming division.. Again, I'm just trying to show that they are leaving money on the table.. I would have bought this and a number of other Windows Store titles if they included Xbox Live support.. No Live support, no purchase.. Eventually cross-buy/cross-saves would be nice as well but at least give us basic Live support..
  • 100% agree
  • 100% disagree simply because the Windows userbase is small and we are in no position to be making demands that cost a developer extra time, money and investments when they may not want to develop for Windows in the first place. Voting with the wallet works when there are enough users that the potential loss of revenue will cause a positive change. A loss of revenue for a developer taking a chance in the Windows ecosystem means the developer will usually decide to not develop for Windows anymore and continue with iOS and Android, where there are not only more users, more profit but less ill-advised demands from users. We, all Windows users, lose out by trying to push an agenda when we are barely a dot on the profit graph and likely taking their cost benefit analysis into the red.
  • I ain't saying that EVERYONE shouldn't buy the games without XBL on WP... I just don't want to purchase, if everyone else don't care about cheevos, that's with them.
  • There's plenty of smartphone/tablet/PC owners who don't own or care about Xbox.. I understand that and I hope those people pick up these UWP games and support the developers who are trying to support the platform.. But for us Xbox Live players, if we don't complain and don't speak with our wallets by not buying non-Xbox Live enabled games, then there'll never be Xbox Live enabled games.. Devs will just continue to not support Xbox Live features.. The fact of the matter is that developers are leaving money on the table by not including Xbox Live achievements and we (Xbox fans) have as much right to not buy/support a product we aren't satisfied with as anyone else..
  • This isn't the forum for it though, if you complain here and don't buy developers don't know your reasoning, they just figure Windows Phone users don't buy games and will stop feeling them.
  • At the end of the day, I've still bought games like Oxenfree and Halo: Spartan Strike that include Xbox Live support.. I will continue to buy games that have Xbox Live support and hopefully developers will be able to see the added purchases of games with Xbox Live support versus games without Xbox Live support.. Again, if you have no interest in Xbox Live, please support these games if they interest you.. For me personally, and many others, I'm not satisfied with the product if it doesn't take full advantage of the ecosystem I'm invested in and, as such, I will vote with my wallet on that issue..
  • This game is free to download though.
  • What's with all those 30 app updates? Posted from Windows Central App on Asus A55V running Windows 10 Pro
