Well, this is the newest build that we have for mobile, so it has everything ever reported. Best way to see is to install it yourself.

Updates like this don't matter if it is locked or unlocked anymore. With Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft was able to silo the OS so they don't affect phone networks anymore.  This gives Microsoft the abilty to simply push the updates to all devices wether locked or not.

No, large updates like this and firmware updates will still go though carriers.

Microsoft stated that they will be sending them to carriers as a courtesy to perform tests, however the carrier approval is not required for the update to be pushed out if it is an OS update.  You are correct though with firmware updates.

I really wish that as well, but since firmware touches their networks, they need to test it.  AT&T has at least been a little better at getting firmware pushed out for their Windows Phones then they have in the past. Usually only about 2 weeks after the unlocked versions, but again those could have been flukes.  This is the main reason my 950 is going to be my last carrier locked phone. I think the rest of the world really has the right idea with unlocked phones being the norm. Just wish Microsoft and CDMA carriers would work together so their phones would work on both kind of networks.  

If I felt like it I'd return my att Lumia 950 and get an unlocked one because I don't like waiting for some things.

That doesn't make sense for ATT to do that, in that, the unlocked Lumia 950 I bought at the MS store went right on thier network, got the firmware, and got updates. If ATT lets mine on, why couldn't they update yours? 

Lumia 950s bought directly from AT&T have hardware in them specific to their network, so it isn't just the fact you have an at&t sim, my phone itself is locked to at&t.

Connect to a PC and use device recovery tool to get the firmware update. Using this method, will erase everything ok phone as it would do a clean install of OS

I believe it is called Simple Calendar, but that live tile layout is a in-app purchase. I use the standard one on my 920 & 950 and could not live without it.

Usually ATT is quick to get firmware for the 950 out when an official OS update is released. They got the 38.xxxxx out very quickly when an update went out. The 37.xxx firmware rollup came with an official OS release as well. That's what they wait for. We'll see DTTW in the next week or two for ATT 950s

Wouldn't count on it. UK 950xl unlocked not got yet! AU won't come through either as ATT will need to pointlessly check it and add their stuff.

Anniversary update comes independent of carriers in windows 10 mobile

Super excited, Downloading Anniversary update. Hope it solves all my current issues like serious battery drain, low speaker volume, alarms bugs etc etc....

I had some of these issues before. Its a pain and time consuming but you should really do a fresh and clean install (no restoring). I also powered down and hard reset (hardware key reset) after taking the update. My battery life became much more stable!

On my Lumia 930 the battery life is quite bad (Build 14393.67 on Insider Fast Ring) and the build itself presents quite a few problems... So, don't get too excited until you see it in action :)

Really? I'm getting 24-30 hours with some decent usage time... Did you restore or clean install? Did you hard reset after taking the update? I know its a pain in the arse, but everyone recommends these things for a reason... Btw , I'm not trying to sound like an ahole, just really curious... On my 830 I did none of these and it was a horrible experience. But my 950xl has been a different story when I followed this protocol..

i did it previously but didn't solved battery drain issue.... b/w low speaker volume issue is not resolved. I literally can't hear anything if I ON my speaker in a call... very difficult. Can u check if u have the same issue ?

No Anniversary Update for my Surface Pro 2. No Annyversary Update for my Surface Pro 4. No Anniversary Update for my Lumia 950.   I begin to wonder if this update even exists. I haven't heard of any non-ring-insiders who actually received the update.

I'm not Insider and I received Anniversary Update for all my PCs including Surface Pro 4, and now Lumia 640 updating too.

It's the same exact update whether you get it from Windows Update or the media creation tool.

If you want the update so bad, why don't you manually install it on your SP2 and SP4?

Of course you are right. But i have this naive idea that there is a reason for my devices not getting the AU. That there are some super talented nerdish engineers working in Microsoft headquarter's basement to fix problems with that update and my machines. It's probably a stupid idea and late rollout has only to do with server capacity etc.

My 950XL received the firmware update 3-4 weeks ago. I am really puzzled why updates seem to be taking much longer to propagate or otherwise be available to everyone than it used to.

Was hoping for a version higher than .67 as this version has a few bugs. Namely the Store app when updating some apps. Have unlocked 950xl and had to uninstall both Word and Excel and reinstall to get them to update properly. Now there's an update for gadgets and that won't update either. Store keeps trying to update DH5 that's believe it or not, no longer installed on my phone. Hoping MS releases another CU to fix these bugs.

Still a mistake on myself for not getting a unlocked version of the Lumia 950...This is not just because I want the firmware for double tap but it also fixes connection issues with bluetooth and WiFi....AT&T...:/

I think the recent updates do more to fix connection issues than the firmware. As an example, .545 fixed my Band2 keyboard issues. The only thing I noticed with the firmware update was the addition of double-tap to wake. (Not that the firmware update didn't help with Bluetooth, etc., but I didn't see noticable change after the firmware update.)

All in all I just would like to deal with AT&T less and less outside of a cellular signal. I don't have to wait for certification of AT&T to push a update.

There is no "Anniversary Update for 10586.545". If your phone is supported for this update, you will receive it, otherwise you will stay in the 10586 branch. For example, I have a Lumia 535 on 10586.545 and I'm updating now. Some phones which are not supported will stay in 10586 and will still receive some cumulative updates. What phone do you have?

There are lots of them. Only a few I remember: A camera shortcut is added to the lockscreen, repacing the Back button. FM Radio app and the ability to share Wi-Fi connections are removed (why???), The sub-menus in the Settings now have individual icons, The store has new interface and functionality, You can customize the shortcuts in Action Center (move them, disale), Notifications for the same app are grouped (only a header with the icon, and all the notifications below) ...and a lot more. None of them are groundbreaking and you will not find a whole new OS, but those features are cool :)

Ms play games with us ...they release bug fixes with extra bull **** in their update for fast ring ....then after some time the bring on slow then bring on official .....in this way they take 2-3 moths easily with no issue ......then finally they bring update with no bugs then again with bugs and story goes on ....

You know what those rings are, right? If you are an insider you are suppoed to get a buggy update and report all the bugs so they can be corrected before public release. If you don't like it, opt out of the Insider program and wait one month for every updates like non-insiders do.

Those will get many new features where people like you who are on insider ring (which even are by fault) will get a new update very soon from redstone 2 branch which will be 14901 most probably. When you do not know any thing then you should just keep quite as whatever you are doing here is called CHUTIYAPA. It is humble request to get full knowledge of what preview builds and production builds or RTMs actually are.                                               Thanking you

Yep...old chipsets combined with low ram etc etc...I don't think my 925 would service after update. Just like other platforms (iOS & Android) some updates come with hardware limitations.

In a nuclear event - your phone will be fried by an EMP associated with the blast.  Let alone if a civil emergency happens and society breaks down, when all cell and communication service go down - FM Radio on your cell phone not sounding so good now is it?   (Just Messing :-) )

Solar powered FM/AM radio for emergencies here.

Apps corner is still there though and has way more controls and toggles of what your kid can and can't access. Use OneReader or Adobe Acrobat...both are better than PDF Reader. Many FM radio apps on the store are better than the MS FM radio

Kids Corner is now called Apps corner pritty much the same thing PDF Reader can be done through edge or adobe, and there are many fm radio players in the store and they are not internet streaming.

My Lumia 1320 is on Insider Release preview running build 10586.545. As far as info on net, its like Redstone builds wont be available for old L1320, L1020 etc? Is it true or Any leads? I'm ok with getting no updates for Redstone, but i would love to have these random screen freeze bugs removed from my current build as it's really causing inconvenience in time.

You could alter the registry to make your hone recognized like a Lumia 950 for example. You need an app called Interop Tools. With some research you'll find the app and the procedure.

@Martin Thanks for the suggestion martin. But i think it's not recommended on a daily driver phone. Will surely check that way once i have a new backup phone. By the way is 10586.545 the last one in that build series for older Lumias? Any chance for getting cumulative update for that series of builds in future?

Why can't MS & AT&T just release the 950 firmware to WDRT?

Just small info, since last few builds, so also this one, my Band 2 battery doesn't last for 14 hours anymore. Put my wife's phone on this build, same issue. Also her brother in law experience this. I tried everything, hard reset phone (no restore from back up) and did factory reset of my Band.

Not everyone. Just some people. Some people switch occasionally and have both, some have a Windows phone but also a android tablet, some have an android phone but own other Windows devices, and some people defected to android for reasons such as no Pokémon go, some app they need/want, or convenience of android availability in their region but still like to read and comment on Windows news.

It's just a signature.When I post my comments through my S6 I use that signature and if I remember right it's the default.(I don't remember if I write it...)

Because those don't know how to remove a signature. All other apps (like the Windows phone app) have the signature removed by default. So, that Android signature, makes them look rather dumb (don't know how to remove a signature) Or lazy.

Unlocked dual-SIM 950XL on Cricket in LA, downloading now. I really hope this one is well-sorted. The [sorry the Anniversary Update isn't ready] update that rolled out a couple of weeks ago, was the worst update I have ever installed. It had ZERO improvements I could see, and made my phone worse than it has ever been. Touch screen response was really buggy. Screen sometimes refused to turn on for several seconds. Glance not updating. Glance turned yellow. Lock screen notifications hidden by nav bar. So many random issues that I have had to restart almost every day since. If there was a rollback capability, I would have done it already. Please, please, PLEASE, let this update fix all that nonsense.

So they officially rolled out the fast ring build without fixing the Bluetooth action center crash that has been report or months? This last build has been oddly buggy for the the last few days prompting me to restart my icon a minimum of once a day. Sad days.

And MS has STILL not fixed bluetooth connection headphones for music on their flagship phone 950XL!!
​I even tried to use a wired pair only to discover the fecking headphone socket is busted - now waiting whilst it goes back to MS for repair. The rate this is going my support for WinMob (since 7.0) is draining fast!  

Did you try a 4-pole (with mic) set of headphones? My 950XL doesn't work well with the regular 3-pole ones. You may also be able to buy an adapter if you don't have any 4-pole, but make sure it is the right type CTIA/OMTP (my CTIA headphones work well, not sure if the phone also supports OMTP).

The updates currently not availalbe for my AT&T 950. I'm currently on build 14393.00 since I stopped receiving insider builds. Hopefully I'll get the new build and firmware shortly.

Yeah that's true. I hate the Bluetooth toggle issue. It is so annoying.

What toggle bug. Not heard of it before, can tell me what it is/does?

When you try to turn off Bluetooth from action center it does not change the toggle. Previously it was even bad. It used to freeze the whole mobile, which was fixed in this build. It was under known issues for a long time, until previous build.

Hmm not much change in the GUI, but im convinced its been fixed quite up under the hood :)

Same here on 950XL. That was the #1 thing I was hoping for, but I don't see it in the camera or in the store updates (installed the anniversary update about 4 hours ago). My cam is on version 2016.404.191.0. Where does the panorama "button" normally reside?

Wait a second - I thought Microsoft was going to be releasing software updates (locked or unlocked carriers) OTA, and firmware would be after the carriers approved of the firmware update?  If that is still true, is the anniversay update to W10M dependent on the new firmware?  Could that be why we are being held up???

In other words, 10586.545 is the absolute end of the line for me, barring any further cumulative updates to the 10586 branch, correct? I don't want to waste time looking for this if it's not coming!

The 1G 635 is supported. The 512MB is not.

Panorama is only available in the insiders fast ring. You'll just have to wait a bit longer until the glitches are ironed out.......

Got a problem with the update. My phone is lumia 636. My display is not correctly shown. Like when i open the messaging app the three dots options cannot be seen. Its far below the screen. Just like with this wimdows central app when i open an article, the share button cannot be seen. Its way below the screen. Anyone have this problem? Could be of help Thanks

Yes, I had to reduce the text size by one level on L730 and L 950xl. Text size, not scaling....

My text size is on the lowest level. this seem to be a problem in most of the apps. :( ive also try the display scaling doesnt fix the problem. ive got a lumia 636. seems there is a problem for my device maybe because of the small display. :(

After I upgraded my acer m330 to windows 10 anniversary update today the touch is inaccurate now for the bottom part of phone near the on-screen navigation button. Also apps don't fit in the screen the way they used to for example the bottom button of some apps is partly covered by the on-screen navigation button and there is no way to scroll up.

So have an unlock lumia 640 and upgraded today. Sadly, edge isn't improved enough to make tia crappy site work smoothly. Especially here on the comment section. It takes forever to post this.

I have it, installed it, then turned the phone off. Cant use W10M my NAS doesn't support it. Until it does ill stick to my iPhone. Was stable and fast on the 650 I have though.

My Lumia 930 refuses to connect to my operator after this upgrade. And I cannot get in touch with any MS Support site.... WiFi works so far... Any ideas what settings and where to look into???

I don't know why MSFT decided to remove FM radio, but there are several other choices out there. In my case (USA) I use TuneIn - works great.

stuck in migrating data for last 3hrs HELP

Running beautifully on my Lumia 950XL. Loving all the UI improvements. Favorite so far is the fact that Windows Hello NO LONGER "looks for me" when my device is still unlocked (time period before locking hasn't expired). Things feel more stable, deleting photos doesn't take as long. We'll see in the coming days, but so far, loving it!

So I'm a bit confused.... Before a lot of devices got the win 10 upgrade all I heard was that once you got to 10 you didnt have to worry about carrier approval for updates!  It would be great, MS would putout an update and we would all get it.  Now most of us have gotten upgraded to 10 and here comes an update and.......only unlocked phones are getting it.  My ATT 830 that I upgraded to 10 still lists as "up to date" and I wonder if I'm going to get it if I have to wait for ATT approval.   Really, what was all that talk about 10 beaing able to push out OS updates without carrier approval if the first major update here is only non-carrier locked phones are getting it.
