Halo: Master Chief Collection announced, coming to Xbox One November 11

Microsoft has just announced the Halo: Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One at E3 2014, a collection containing all four Master Chief-centric Halo titles. All four games will be presented through a unified interface for a seamless Halo experience.

The games will be updated with modern graphics, including the Halo 2 Anniversary edition, complete with the multiplayer it shipped with ten years ago. All four games will ship on a single disc, and the multiplayer modes will feature over 100 maps, running at 1080p at 60 frames per second. Everything in all multiplayer modes comes with the game unlocked. The collection comes with a total 4,000 potential gammerscore. If you want, you will be able to switch inbetween new and classic graphics.

The collection also comes with Halo: Nightfall, a live-action series from Ridley Scott that leads up to Halo 5: Guardians. Speaking of Halo 5, the multiplayer for that game will be available this holiday for gamers that purchase the Master Chief Collection.

The Halo: Master Chief collection will be available on November 11, 2014. Keep your eyes on our Microsoft media briefing live blog for the latest Xbox news.

Never played more than the occasional pvp halo on various friends' consuls. If this came out for pc I might have to give it a shot.

Posted via the WPC App for Android!

And they've been doing a pretty awful job with new content on PC ever since. The change I hope comes with the new rereleases of AoE, AoM and RoN. But we've yet to see proof of that. Still the first step in a return of Halo to PC has been taken, porting to the x86/x64 architecture.

Not to poop the informative party over there on the west coast, but a shady track record forces skepticism to ask the question...

Do each of those Ds stand for DLC tokens needed to unlock the 100 maps on the disc?

Wow! Halo Master Chef? I never expected that! I wonder if it'll change how Master Chef is done on the TV as well?

Why would they? They showed more than I expected seeing as how the game is still 1.5 years away

at nearly one and a half years out into the future, there wouldn't be much point to showing such work in progress and give XB1 haters the ammunition to look for signs of 720p.

An Xbox one and this will be fckn amazing! Hopefully I can get an Xbox one for my birthday in a little more than 2 weeks :D

Fck Yeah!!!!! Words cannot describe my happiness. HALO is my absolute favorite gaming franchise of any game I have ever played. Nov cannot get here soon enough.

THIS is what I've been waiting for before getting an Xbox One. Then my husband saw the Battlefield Hardline trailer and finally threw his lot in to buy an Xbox One. Yay!

My dream of playing halo 1 over live with the original engine will finally come true. Makes me remember the days of Xbox connect :tear:

I love this! Halo 2 was one of my favorites! It would be cool if multiplayer could span all the maps at once.
