Vodafone UK launching 4G in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow later this month

Vodafone has confirmed on its official blog that three new locations will be added to the list of cities supporting 4G here in the UK. Originally launched in London, the mobile operator expanded to Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield in September.

So which cities are having their 4G switched on this month? Check out some dates below:

  • Liverpool - October 17th
  • Glasgow - October 24th

Manchester will follow soon after. The mission is to have 98 percent of the UK covered by 2015. Vodafone also released some figures. The operator notes that more than 100,000 people have signed up to the Red 4G-ready plans. As well as the deals on offer, Vodafone is offering unlimited data for three months, followed by double standard allowances.

More locations will be launching soon, so be sure to keep an eye out on feeds to see when your town will get 4G.
