During Microsoft's E3 2015 press event, the company announced a new service called Xbox Game Preview. It will allow Xbox One owners to try out a number of games from small ID@Xbox developers before they are formally launched.

Microsoft says this new program will offer gamers a way to check out games from small teams in an early state. This is similar to Steam's Early Access program. All games in the Xbox Game Preview will include a free trial in case people don't want to jump in and buy a game in the program immediately.

Microsoft says that sign ups for the Xbox Game Preview will begin later today. Some of the games that will be included include the Xbox One versions of the space sim title Elite Dangerous and the zombie open world game DayZ. It will also include ION, a massively multiplayer title set in space on massive constructions projects.
