What you need to know

  • Trine is an incredibly popular platforming series.
  • Trine 4: The Nightmare Price was recently announced and goes back to its roots.
  • Trine: Ultimate Collection should launch in October and comes with all the games.
  • You can preorder it for $42 on Amazon.

Trine is an excellent platforming series that was quite popular on the Xbox 360. While Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power didn't live up to expectations, it still managed to deliver a good experience. Unfortunately, Trine 3 hasn't made its way to Xbox One, but that's about to change. Recently, developer Frozenbyte announced that Trine 4: The Nightmare Price was in the works and that the previous three Trine titles were also coming to Xbox One soon.

No release date was provided until now. Today, the developer revealed that all four games are hitting Xbox One on October 8. If you love the series and want to play all of the game, be sure to preorder the Trine: Ultimate Collection. The package has been discounted to $42 on Amazon at the moment and comes with Trine: Enhanced Edition, Trine 2: Complete Edition, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.

Join Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief on a journey across a forsaken and ruined kingdom. Bound to a mysterious artifact known as the Trine, the three heroes use their unique skills to battle the undead, navigate treacherous areas, and solve challenging puzzles.

According to the developer, the newest entry to the franchise, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, returns to Trine's roots. You'll discover the mysterious Prince Selius, a troubled wizard whose dark dreams are destroying reality. It's up to the band of heroes to resolve the situation before he inadvertently destroys the world.
