Bethesda Softworks, the developer behind Fallout 4 and the forthcoming Doom, has confirmed that it will be holding yet another showcase at E3 2016. The press conference, which is scheduled for June 12 at 7 p.m. PT, was announced on Twitter with the following graphic:

Bethesda E3 2016 Date

You may recall that Bethesda's 2015 showcase was their first at E3, and it was a big one. During the showcase, we got our first look at Fallout 4, along with a look at Doom and Dishonored 2. Given that the company is going for a repeat in 2016, and it's being announced so early, it's likely we can expect something big from the developer. It's unclear what that may be, but our money is on more Doom.

  • Hopefully some Fallout 4 DLC teasers!
  • Next elder scrolls game?
  • We can wish. lol  I much prefer Elder Scrolls over Fallout.
  • Diddo
  • I prefer Elder Scrolls as well. I wish it was this year but my guess would be late 2017.  This year will continue with Fallout 4 and its DLC.  Next year hopefully new ES. That would make it 6 years I believe since the last. I would hope we would have a new one by then. If it does happen to be this year even better!

  • Not a chance, way too soon.
  • I would say too soon as well, but after the surprise fallout 4, idk.. I can keep my fingers crossed. XD
  • Fallout 4 was hardly a surprise. Bethesda shares most of (like 90%) the same team for both games. It takes that team around 3 to 4 years too make a game. Skyrim came out in 2011. You do the math. We won't see the next Eldar Scrolls until E3 2018 at the earliest. But depending on how large, and/or ambitious the game is, it could be as late as E3 2019, or 2020.
  • The hype machine will kick in for Doom at this event. It is a classic franchise that needs a solid release to make a comeback, otherwise it'll just go back on a shelf for a long period of time.
  • Hoping for an Evil Within 2!! :)
  • That would be nice, but it might be a little too soon for them to showcase The Evil Within 2.
  • Oh man, that game still gives me the heeby jeebies. Shouldn't have played it with all the lights off in the middle of the night.
  • Dishonored 2 has to be there, right? That's probably the headliner to me, with Fallout 4 DLC second.
  • Agreed with this.
  • Yeah Dishonored 2 and Doom you'd hope would get plenty of air time.
  • Another Wolfenstein please.
  • Doom, Fallout 4 mods on console, Fallout 4 DLC, Elder Scrolls VI and Dishonored 2.
  • That would be one amazing lineup right there
  • At this point I can't think that they could make their games any bigger. I'm kinda hoping for more Fallout 4 DLC however.
  • A new elder scrolls.. Possibly?
  • Hoping for new games instead of DLC. Bethesda always as awful DLC compared to the main games (Fallout 3, Skyrim).
  • I hope we get some Fallout 4 DLC :)
  • That's why I prefer to attend major conventions every other year. There's generally not enough new content year on year to justify the cost. But those vendor parties... they do make up the difference :) Granted I've never been to E3 - I imagine it's fun every year... kinda like the Adult Movie awards (should be).
