Borderlands 3 goes up for preorder, launches in September

The day many of you have been waiting for is finally here, Borderlands 3 is launching on Xbox One and other platforms on September 13. Many expected the title to be available in 2020 or 2021, but that's not the case at all. What's even better is that the game features phenomenal Xbox One X support.

According to developer Gearbox Software, the original shooter-looter returns, packing bazillions of guns and an all-new mayhem-fueled adventure. Blast through new worlds and enemies as one of four brand new Vault Hunters, each with deep skill trees, abilities, and customization. Your goal is to stop the fanatical Calypso Twins from uniting the bandit clans and claiming the galaxy's ultimate power. During the course of the adventure, you'll discover new worlds beyond Pandora, each featuring unique environments.

There are a number of editions available, and each come with their own perks. However, only the $100 Super Deluxe Edition gives you access to the season pass and all the additional content. Given the scope of Borderlands 2 post-launch content, it's safe to assume that Borderlands 3 will get a lot of missions in late 2019 and early 2020.
