CES 2014: Windows Phone Central, Mobile Nations and Geek Beat unite!

In just over a month, we’re heading back to CES, the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. But this year, we’re not just going…we’re going big!

The Mobile Nations family is once again teaming up with our friends at Geek Beat and together we're going to be putting on #CESLIVE. We have some awesome booth space in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, where we'll be setup and streaming live during tradeshow floor hours throughout the week of CES. CES Live will complement our standard coverage with plenty of interviews and product demos live from our stage.

Traditionally, each of the Mobile Nations sites do their own thing, but this year we’re pulling together as a team. Or a dysfunctional family reunion. Which ever. The fact is, between us and Geek Beat (with John P and Cali Lewis), we’re going to show you the best of the best at CES, just like you were there. Granted, Windows Phone news tends to be a little slow, but if it’s there, we’ll bring it.

As we discussed at length during Talk Mobile 2013, mobile now permeates into all areas of life - whether we're talking health and fitness, automotive, home technologies and more. All tech is becoming connected, and CES is where we'll get a first glimpse at a lot of the cool new technologies that will soon be hitting our lives. ">We'll follow up with more details on #CESLIVE as the event approaches. In the meantime, hit up the press release below for more details. Who’s excited? We are!

  • So we probably are 1 month away to see an official WP 8.1 announcement?? :)
  • Nah. Hints are in late February during Mobile World Congress, Barcelona. We'll be there too, but not expecting too much at CES in the way of big announcements.
  • Sorry Daneil, I ALWAYS confuse MWC with CES! hahaha
  • Any news on what new wp8 or 8.1 devices will be there?
  • Can't imagine there will be an WP devices launched there, that'll be reserved for MWC in Feb. I'd be interested to hear what rumours their are for Windows tablets though, so tempted by a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 right now, but if something better with Bay Trail is coming then I can hold off another month.
  • Speak for yourself, I'm still hoping T-Mobile announces the 1520 or 1320.
  • I do wonder where the 1320 is going if it just passed the FCC (I believe that's what it's called).
  • Much as these are wished for devices for some people, they are already released. It's just a matter of whether or not your carrier and country is stocking them, hardly something that would be announced at CES.
  • ^^^"A Drowning man will clutch at a Straw" ...so don't even, lol
  • Time for new Samsung wp \o/
  • That would be nice. The Samsung ATIV Note, with optional S Pen.
  • Will WP9 be unveiled there? How about the much rumored Surface 3? Or the new Lumia 1720!? ZOMG SO EXCITING!
  • Doubt it, WP9 isn't going to be around for a few more years lol..
Surface 3 will be later next year... I'm more interested what they'll announce in terms of the Nokia buyout
  • I'm hoping for Nokiasoft to introduce one flagship WP 8.1 device that makes it to all four US carriers including Sprint at MWC
  • Lol i see what you did there
  • I will see you guys there then...... CES to me is the San Diego Comic Con of tech...... been going for the past 3 years and have a blast every time!
  • See you guys there. I do some contract work for CEA and I'll be in the South Hall press area.
  • Cali Lewis was so annoying on Talk Mobile.
  • She's hot though lol
  • I'm glad that mobile nations and geek beat are joining forces.
  • See you guys there! Love CES... been taking my team there for the last 6 years.  Will be glad to see more Win tablets this year, so many Androids last year.
  • Seems like only a month ago, I was in Vegas with you guys.
  • Is Microsoft and Nokia not even going to be at CES ?? I was looking at the floor map and I could not find them, I did find Google. please tell me they are going to be there and have shows or events.
