Cortana also gets 'Fitness Tracker' support for workout recommendations

Besides movies and 'pick the winners', some users are reporting to us that Cortana also has a new Lifestyle interest. Heading deeper into the category reveals a Fitness Tracker section, which we presume ties into the Microsoft Band.

Currently, none of us at Windows Central has the interest in our Cortana Notebook, so we can only guess as to how it works.

According to the screenshots sent in, Fitness Tracker will give you "reminders and recommendations about your workouts". Supposing that this is related to the Microsoft Band (and maybe FitBit), Cortana should be able to feed your exercise regimen and reminders to hit the gym right to your news stream. The Fitness Tracker initiative may also be related to a Microsoft Health push, meaning other companies can opt-in to the program. We'll try to find out more.

The Lifestyle/Fitness Tracker interest is super new, so we will have to wait and see how it works when it hits our devices. We'll update this article when we have more information.

Thanks to Philip_17 and Robby H., for the tips!
