Destiny 2 developer Bungie has announced that Season 13 of Destiny 2 is officially titled Season of the Chosen. Additionally, the studio also released a new trailer for the season, which you can watch below. Season of the Chosen will begin on February 9, 2021 when the Season of the Hunt ends, and it will run until May 11, 2021. Season of the Chosen focuses primarily on the Cabal Empress Caiatl, who seeks an alliance with the Guardians but ultimately ends up fighting us due to her unrealistic terms for the alliance.

The new core seasonal activity players can enjoy during the Season of the Chosen is Battlegrounds, a three-player matchmade activity where players work together to take down Caiatl's best warriors. In addition to this mode, the Devil's Lair and Fallen S.A.B.E.R. Strikes from the original Destiny will also be added at the start of the season. Then, towards the end of the season, a new Strike called Proving Grounds will be added. The Guardian Games event will also be returning during Season of the Chosen, which is essentially Destiny's version of the Olympics but for the three Guardian classes.

In terms of what loot you'll be able to earn, Bungie has confirmed that there will be over 25 Exotic, Legendary, and ritual weapons to collect during Season of the Chosen. One such weapon is the Ticuu's Divination Exotic bow, which is capable of charging multiple Solar arrows that can track several targets at once. There's more than just weapons, though, as Bungie is also adding in a new Praefectus armor set for each Guardian class. Make sure to check out the season's official page for more information.
