Dragon Ball FighterZ finally gets a release date

Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who protects the Earth against various strange villains which include everything from robots to fighters from outer space who wish to see what Earth's best can do. Well, this is where the fun begins. Gamers who were watching Microsoft's E3 2017 conference on June 11, 2017 were surprised to see that a new game, called Dragon Ball FighterZ, was headed to the Xbox One.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a fighting game which surprisingly has a story. Now, this next part might not make sense to those who don't follow the show. Goku and his friends must fight a new battle against a revived Android 16 and his army. There are a few chapters in there and events take place from the perspective of different individuals.

Today, Bandai Namco, who are publishing the game, announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ will launch on January 26, 2018 on Xbox One, Windows PC and PlayStation 4. In addition to that, the publisher announced the FighterZ Pass which is basically the game's expansion pass which adds a handful of new characters.

If you want to go all out, there's also an Ultimate Edition of the game which includes a commentator pack as well as a music pack which includes songs from the anime. If you pre-order the game, you can also get early access to the open beta which is also taking place in January before the launch of Dragon Ball FighterZ.
