Forza Horizon 4 'Fortune Island' expansion takes you to the stormy north
Forza Horizon 4 is on a roll.
Forza Horizon 4 launched a few months ago, and gamers are loving the open-world racing experience. The game features upgraded visuals and a shared world for an even more community-focused experience. The user feedback seems to be great, and the title has also garnered a lot of critical acclaim from numerous outlets. The game currently sits at a 92 on Metacritic from over eighty reviews.
During the X018 event, Forza Horizon's Chief Designer Ben Thaker-Fell announced the first expansion for the game called "Fortune Island." Fortune Island will release on December 13, 2018 and takes players to the remote northern reaches of the British Isles. If you're familiar with the region, you know to expect extreme conditions like fierce lightning storms, dangerous cliffs, dirt roads, and the aurora borealis.
Fortune Island should be available as part of the Forza Horizon 4 Expansions Bundle which gives players with two game expansions for $34.99. However, if you already own Forza Horizon 4: Ultimate Edition or the Forza Horizon 4: Ultimate Add-ons Bundle, you'll receive Fortune Island at no cost.
A report that came out a few weeks suggested that Forza Horizon 4 has doubled its launch player count over Forza Horizon 3. This might be a result of Xbox Game Pass because the game is available for free to anyone who subscribes to the service for $9.99 a month.

I'm surprised this isn't bigger news.
So us Game Pass subscribers will need to cash out for a DLC for a game we don't own. It's weird, but it's fair I guess. Wouldn't kill them to give the new stuff to subscribers too.
I was under the impression that 1st party games in game pass included the DLC?
No but you get 10% off all DLC for games that are in GamePass
Seems kinda soon for the first expansion. I was guessing at the six month mark.
