Here's how you get the new Hawker HX sniper in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 as fast — and stress free — as possible
With the second week of Fallout crossover events in Black Ops 7 comes the newest weapon, and this is how you can get it fast.
With the second week of the Fallout crossover in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 now upon us, some new events have gone live.
One of them, Quantum Exchange, brings the reward of the brand-new Hawker HX sniper rifle, the stand-out reward for sure.
It's easy enough to get, but if you're here, it's because you're impatient and want to know the fastest route to unlocking it. Fortunately, I've tried every mode, and I've got the easiest, least stressful method locked down. Here's what to do.
How to unlock the Hawker HX sniper rifle in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Besides speed, when I'm looking for methods to complete events or unlock new items in Black Ops 7, I go for the least stressful approach. There's enough sweatiness in the game, so let's relax when we can, right?
To get the Hawker HX both quickly and as easily as possible, use the Endgame mode. Zombies is a decent runner-up, but for most people who want this fast, I'd definitely recommend avoiding Warzone and Multiplayer. I'll break down the numbers I've been getting after the method.
You need to collect 100 bottle caps to cash in for the Hawker HX, and you get those from eliminations in Endgame. To get those in a hurry, drop into Zone III and head to the grassy areas in the top left corner of the map.
These areas have become a staple for those working towards the Genesis Mastery Camo, and they're just as good here. You'll get a large quantity of zombie-type enemies spawning here at regular intervals.
Just keep moving up and down the very outskirts of the map in Zone III, find a group, eliminate the group, grab any bottle caps, and move along to find another. Rinse and repeat, that's all you have to do. It doesn't seem to preference Special or Elite enemies over regular ones, so just mow down everything in sight.
Based on what I've been experiencing, you could get the 100 bottle caps you need in four matches, five at most, so it should only take you a couple of hours of in-game time.
Why Black Ops 7 Endgame is the play to unlock the Hawker HX
It's a simple numbers game. From trying every mode, the rewards compared to the time spent in-game, with an added bonus of being significantly easier to play than the other three modes, Endgame comes out on top.
I've not seen less than 20 bottle caps per match, and when I've stuck it out longer, until the 15-minute warning pops up, I've seen 29.
Compared to Zombies on Survival, even with the Rampage Inducer on, it's a better return. Here I've only been able to get 10 bottle caps in just under 20 minutes. If you go to higher rounds with more zombies, you'll get more, but it's more of a time suck.
Warzone is third, and a distant one, at that. Like previous collection events, you only need to open crates. But in a full match (using Casual mode, because you can) I only got six bottle caps.
Multiplayer is dead last because the drop rates are so low for the amount of time you'll end up playing. But also because if a bottle cap drops, and it's not right in front of you, there's a decent chance you get eliminated before you collect it.
So, Endgame is the strategy. It's pretty reliable, delivering between 20 and 30 bottle caps per run, targeting mostly the areas detailed above. If you don't have a Zone III ready operator, then drop in for some Zombies as your back-up plan. It might take a little longer, but both are superior to Warzone or Multiplayer for efficiency.
