I have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate stacked until 2028 — and so can you, even as this Cyber Monday deal ends

When Microsoft unfortunately announced a ridiculous 50% price increase for Xbox Game Pass, many were rightfully stressing about whether they should stay subscribed. I, however, was cool as a cucumber — because I had already stacked my Xbox Game Pass subscription to the end of 2028, thanks to discounts exactly like this Cyber Monday special.

It's absolutely the best XGP deal I've seen, netting you two 3-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes for only $95.98 at Newegg (EXPIRED). That's six months enjoying everything Xbox Game Pass has to offer for 20% less than the service cost before its massive price increase. If you've been paying month-to-month, stop — this sale will cut your Game Pass bill almost in half.

Tuesday, Dec. 2 @ 5:45 AM ET: Newegg's deal finally expired as Cyber Monday ended, but Amazon is still offering 1-month and 3-month codes for less than Microsoft's raised prices. Still a great deal — Ben Wilson, Senior Editor

If you're looking for the best way to stack up on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you found it. This is the cheapest way to secure stackable 3-month codes, saving you nearly 50% compared to paying per-month after Xbox's recent price increases. You're still saving 20% even going by pre-price increase costs.

I love Xbox Game Pass; I've been able to experience so many unique video games I otherwise never would've played because of the service, and I also take advantage of many of the included perks and benefits. That being said, Xbox Game Pass is no longer the cut-and-dry ultimate value it was at its inception, thanks to a series of unfortunate price increases.

Not too long ago, the flagship Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier got hit with a massive 50% price increase. Sure, subscribers also got access to a bunch of new content and the promise of 75 or more day one launches every year, but paying $30 a month for a gaming subscription is a tough pill to swallow for many.

Those price increases are steadily rolling out, making it increasingly difficult to get the best of Game Pass without breaking the bank. Fortunately, I'll be avoiding this price range — and potential future price increases — for at least three years, and that's because I've picked up Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes during major sales and stacked them on my account.

If you find value in Xbox Game Pass (millions do), but don't want to be saddled with ballooning costs, look out for these deals. This Cyber Monday, the best I've seen is easily dual 3-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes for $95.98 at Newegg.com. It's definitely better than the alternative Xbox Game Pass Ultimate deal on Amazon.

Just to break those savings down quickly, you'd have to pay $120 for six months of XGPU before the price increase — after, you'd have to pay $180. Savings of nearly 50% is nothing to scoff at, and you can stack these codes and lock your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at that lower price. Just be warned, this deal is for the United States region (and you're limited to 20, technically, but you'd only need six to max out your account).

FAQ

How much does Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cost?

After the recent price increase, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs a whopping $29.99/month, 50% more than its previous price. You can still find plenty of codes for the previous price of $19.99/month (or $59.99 for three months), but it's a lot harder to find a deal that will get you Game Pass Ultimate for even less than that.

What does Xbox Game Pass Ultimate include?

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is Microsoft's flagship gaming subscription service, so it includes a lot of benefits, including access to hundreds of games across console and PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming to stream Game Pass titles and your owned games, online multiplayer on Xbox consoles, day one access to 75+ new games every year, exclusive deals and discounts on games and DLC, various in-game perks and benefits, increased Microsoft Reward points, and other major perks like EA Play, Ubisoft+ Classics, Fortnite Crew, and more. You can read our ultimate Xbox Game Pass FAQ for more information.

Can I stack Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

Yes, you can stack up to 36 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on your account, letting you avoid monthly subscription fees and making it easier to save money. The easiest way to stack Xbox Game Pass is to buy digital codes, but be sure you're buying codes that work in your region, and aren't "Trial" codes meant for brand-new subscribers.

What day is Cyber Monday 2025?

Cyber Monday started on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, but, as with Black Friday, it already began appearing as the theme for deals at certain retailers in the days before. While its discounts are generally restricted to the day itself, some deals may extend into Tuesday and beyond.

When does Cyber Monday end?

Cyber Monday technically ends at 11:59 p.m. local time on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, and most promotions will cease at the same time. Retailers often run deals in the days following Cyber Monday, in case you miss a deal the day of, but that's never a guarantee.
