Gold XPS 13 with Intel Iris Graphics now available from Dell for $1,699

For those looking for a bit more color in their laptop, the Dell XPS 13 is now available in gold direct from Dell. And Dell is serious about pitching the laptop's gold exterior as a fashion perk, as the company officially launched the gold XPS 13 during a recent runway event at New York Fashion Week (opens in new tab).

As for the specs and internals, the gold variant is only available in one configuration. As the name implies, the XPS 13 features a nearly-borderless 13-inch InfinityEdge display at a 3200 x 1800 resolution. You also get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of solid state storage. One extra worth pointing out, however, is that the gold variant includes Intel's Iris Graphics 540, which Dell says should net you 40% greater performance over Intel HD Graphics options.

If you're interested in grabbing the XPS 13 in gold, you can do so on Dell's website from the link below.

  • Very nice...having used a XPS13 I think it's a great laptop...but, Dell's Thudnerbolt Dock is, at best, a POS. The only thing worse than the dock is the support for it. So, if you don't need to dock it, it's a great laptop!
