Indie darling The Stanley Parable is heading to Xbox for the first time with the launch of The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe on all major platforms.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a "dramatically expanded" version of the original game, with a much bigger world to explore and secrets to discover, though the developers have been careful not to share specifics. There's also other updates, such as content warnings and accessibility features. This new version of the game has been in development for several years, having first been announced back at The Game Awards 2018.

In The Stanley Parable, players step into the role of Stanley, an office worker who suddenly discovers that his coworkers have all disappeared without any kind of warning whatsoever. As Stanley tries to understand what has happened, he's accompanied at all points by a narrator who comments on practically everything.

With this updated version of the 2013 title, players will have more content to explore and secrets to uncover very soon, as The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on April 27, 2022. For anyone who hasn't played the original game, this release date is something of a joke, as Room 427 is where players start when beginning the game.
