Jump Force is an upcoming fighting game where you can play as a variety of famous anime characters in one experience. Heroes from Bleach and Naruto Shippuden make an appearance to save the world from unprecedented threats. A lot of gamers have been looking forward to this crossover experience ever since it was announced.
Jump Force is available now on Xbox One and other platforms. It's Xbox One X Enhanced and supposedly runs at 4K resolution on the console. Unfortunately, the ultimate crossover game doesn't live up to the hype.
In our review, we said, "None of these issues are enough to bring a fighting game down on their own, but together they make for an excruciating exercise in patience, and I might have been able to find that patience if the game at large had more to offer. Its hyper-focus on gameplay does it no favors in that regard. Wait for a sharp discount if you must have it."
Given the reviews, it's clear that Jump Force doesn't live up to the hype. However, the fighting mechanics are still solid, and if you can overlook the plot and voice acting, it's quite a lot of fun. Hopefully Bandai Namco will improve the experience in the coming months because right now, the game feels like it was rushed out the door.
