Lenovo's new Yoga 700 notebooks run Windows 10 in cheaper convertible laptops

Lenovo recently revealed its new Yoga 900 Windows 10 convertible laptop and while we were impressed, it's also a bit expensive with a starting price of $1,199. Now the PC maker has revealed two new Yoga 700 notebooks, which come in 11-inch and 14-inch sizes. Like the Yoga 900, the Yoga 700 models run Windows 10 and both can convert from laptop to tablet mode with its display hinge, but they have much cheaper starting prices of $649 for the 11-inch version and $799 for the 14-inch model.

Lenovo says:

"Avid travelers who need a thin and light option will find the 11-inch YOGA 700 as the ideal travel companion, while the 14-inch option packs powerful performance for those who need additional speed and reliability. Both options come with a responsive 10-point multitouch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display and Dolby DS1.0 Home Theater certified stereo speakers, allowing users to enjoy crisp visuals and clear sound whether working in a café or streaming a favorite show at home."

Lenovo has not revealed much about the hardware specs of the 11-inch Yoga 700, but the 14-inch model has a 6th Generation Intel Core i5 processor running at 2.30GHz, along with 8GB of RAM and storage options of either 128GB or 256GB. It also has the option to add an NVIDIA GeForce GT 940M dedicated GPU with 2GB of RAM, but that will boost the price up a bit.

While the 11-inch Yoga 700 is not for sale yet, you can order the 14-inch version now on the Lenovo website, although it lists a starting price of $899.
