LG Jil Sander E906 with new press photos

We've previously looked at the LG E906 that passed through WiFi Interoperbilitly certification (opens in new tab) earlier this year and reported that it was running Mango and under the design hat of Jil Sander (opens in new tab), a German design house. Now PocketNow have come across a specification sheet that confirms the handset is almost identical to the Optimus 7 (opens in new tab).

3.8-inch WVGA display is present and a 5-megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p. The handset is actually slightly larger than the Optimus 7, but is 15 grams lighter in weight. Still no word on what's going to be present with exclusive content etc. but we could speculate that there will be a few fashion apps. As for frequencies, the E906 will be capable of HSDPA 7.2 on the 900, 1900, and 2100MHz band.

Personally, I wouldn't buy the device. That Windows button is horrible.

  • the blue looks darker than mine. /jealous.
  • do want!
  • The "JIL SANDER" logo is so strange that I could swear this is one of those chinese rip-off phones available on Deal Extreme.
  • @onysi I got this blue theme when I flashed a TIM Italy ROM on my E900. It's really cool.
  • I like the dark blue.
  • Jil must not be very pretty.
  • Man it looks very edgy and futuristic. Does the sides change with the titles? that would be sick. Me likes.
  • Replace 'Jil Sander' with 'Gucci', and I might consider it :)
  • I like the idea of having some darker colors - all of mine except green and brown display painfully bright, and reading text off of them is a nightmare. I own the LG Optimus 7. I would say that this looks like the WP7 equivalent of a Chinese knockoff. Not good.
  • They better watch out with that home button apple may try and sue.
  • Is it me or are all the buttons actual physical buttons? search and back appear to be set out abit. Kudos to LG if it is.
  • That is one **** ugly piece of gadgetry, and LG complain their **** doesn't sell...
  • Can MS PLEASE STOP **** around with these theme-colors being device/carrier specific. Why the **** are they trying so hard to annoy their userbase like this?F-ing ridiculous.
  • I think they have to allow the carriers and OEM's to customize it in some way... I really see nothing wrong with this at all. At least they can't install a ton of **** and OS customizations anymore...
  • Really nice looking phone. I like it a lot actually. Not so sure about the LG connection though, they're smart phones have always felt rather cheap to me.
  • Who is Jil Sander, and why do I want her name on my phone? Other than that, I think it's a decent looking device. The specs could use some work though, shouldn't a Windows Phone coming out these days have an 8 mp camera, FFC, and a new CPU? If it's the same internally as a 1st gen Windows Phone, what's the point?
