Microsoft now selling $499 Surface Go with 4GB of RAM and faster 128GB SSD

Though the Surface Go only initially launched in two flavors, a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage and another with 8GB of RAM and a speedier 128GB SSD, Microsoft is now selling another model that firmly sits in the middle. Coming in at 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the new $499 Surface Go strikes a balance between the previously available models by sticking with a lower amount of RAM while bumping storage speeds (via Neowin).

It's worth noting that this new model was available prior to its debut at the Microsoft Store, but only at Costco as part of a bundle deal.

The big deal here is the storage speed boost over the base model. In our review, the higher-end model with an SSD trounced the eMMC storage available on the entry-level Surface Go. While this gives buyers more flexibility in specs, it'll still be tempting to eat the $50 difference and step up to the model with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

If you're interested in grabbing this new model, or one of the others available from Microsoft, you can check it out on the Microsoft Store now for $499.
