Microsoft Lists will begin rolling out later this month and will be available in Microsoft Teams in August. Microsoft Lists helps you track and organize information including issues, assets, routines, contacts, inventory, and more. Microsoft first announced the new tool at Build 2020, and we now have a release date for it. Microsoft will speak more about Microsoft Lists at this year's online Inspire conference.

Microsoft Lists will be available on both the web and separate mobile apps. It will also integrate with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint. You can use templates to organize your workflow and information or create items from scratch.

Microsoft Lists can also work with Power Automate for workflows and Power Apps for forms. Microsoft states that Lists can become the "foundational database for productivity apps, which are all functional within Teams."

When you use Microsoft Lists with Microsoft Teams, you can do things such as embedding a list directly into a Microsoft Teams channel.
