Microsoft UK offers Amazon vouchers for Lumia 2520 charger troubles

Microsoft is offering £80 worth of Amazon vouchers to consumers who were unfortunately affected by the Nokia Lumia 2520 charger issues. We've been alerted to an email being sent out with a code for anyone who was affected and registered with the support system. As well as sending out replacement chargers for the Windows tablet (and offering the voucher), Nokia is asking consumers return the original chargers in supplied packaging.

There are details on how to redeem the voucher in the email itself, but it's a neat apology from both Nokia and Microsoft. Have you also received a similar email with a voucher? Let us know in the comments (as well as where you're from so we can note which countries are currently opted in)!

Thanks for the tip and email, Matt!

  • Teamspeak for windows phone please
  • Border line spamming.
  • We need new charger not a voucher. Or return the money.
  • "As well as sending out replacement chargers for the Windows tablet (and offering the voucher)," Did you even read the article?
  • I shouldn't have written all that and simply put: "Such Nokia. Much Lumia 2520 Charger. Such Microsoft. Voucher."
  • Lol
  • You missed out the "dem feels".
  • Comment for Chris: Yes, I did. You copied the right part. It says "windows tablet". I know Microsoft acquired Nokia, but simply they should have written Lumia tablet. Unless, they say something but mean something else. Same thing happened yesterday, when Chinese gov. announced ban of win8, but simply they were buying Windows 7 as MS stated this morning. Please read articles carefully before you comment. LOL
  • So are you saying the Lumia 2520 isn't a Windows tablet? What, pray tell, does it run? It's a Windows Tablet. There's nothing wrong with the article. Your interpretation seems to be saying that "So you had a problem with your Lumia charger? Ok, here's a Surface tablet charger!"
  • So let us know if and when you receive both; The charger and the voucher. Then you will be proven to be right. :-)

  • How about No
  • Yay for glossy screens, eh?
  • Wait...how do they know who's got one? I bought mines from John Lewis online a few months ago. I continue to use the original charger. I just make sure to switch off the plug and only switch it on once connected. Now I'm thinking it's worth it to actually go through the hassle of returning it. I read the article and still can't figure out how to get my voucher, lol? What support page am I supposed to register to? Please...someone help?

  • I registered for a replacement weeks ago and apart from an automated acknowledged, I've heard nothing. More than £200 should be paid...
