Today at Ignite 2018, Microsoft announced "Microsoft Search," a unified search experience in Microsoft 365 that enables organizations to find, navigate, and discover items within their own network. This enhances the search experiences found in Office, Windows, OneDrive, and more, turning it into a powerful tool for enterprises.
Powered by an "AI insights engine", this new search experience connects content across Windows, Office.com, Office apps, SharePoint, OneDrive, and even third-party ecosystems to bring you relevant, personalized results. These results can include everything from documents, emails, to recent chats. In short, Microsoft Search brings together everything happening in your organization under one search experience.
This new Microsoft Search experience builds upon personalized search experiences that were first introduced last year. Microsoft Search introduces Microsoft Graph and AI technology from Bing into the fold, and a preview of this new experience is now rolling out on Office.com.
