What you need to know

  • Minecraft Dungeons is the latest ARPG hit from the makers of Minecraft, Mojang Studios.
  • Two DLC packs are planned for Minecraft Dungeons, Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter.
  • Minecraft modding community Dokucraft managed to obtain screenshots of two levels in action.
  • These levels should be in the DLC, and offer a glimpse into what we can expect from them.

It seems Minecraft Dungeons cannot help but leak information about its upcoming DLC, Jungle Awakens and Creeping Winter. The latest leak, originating from Minecraft modding community Dokucraft, shows us two screenshots of the DLC in action. We haven't learned anything new from these screenshots, but it's still an important insight into some of the design elements that can appear in the future DLC.

Dokucraft were able to piece together parts of Minecraft Dungeons and mod them back into the game as semi-playable levels, which is how we're able to see these screenshots. The game is clearly incomplete, as is evident by the missing objective in the upper right-hand corner, but it still shows us more of what we can look forward to when Jungle Awakens releases in July, with Creeping Winter following in September.

The Jungle Awakens DLC leak shows us a very lush environment, with what looks like a rope that may be climable to an entryway above. In stark contrast, the Creeping Winter leak shows a beautiful walkway traversing a glowing chasm, which looks visually awesome. All-in-all, we can't glean a ton of new information from these leaks, but it's still very interesting to be able to see it.
