What you need to know

  • Moonlighter is a Zelda-like dungeon crawler and shop simulator.
  • It just got a new expansion called "Between Dimensions" on PC.
  • It's available for $7 on PC and is coming to consoles soon.
  • You can purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription on Amazon.

Moonlighter is quite a popular Zelda-like game that blends dungeon crawling with running a shop. You have to go to various dangerous rooms, collect artifacts, put them up for sale at your store, and turn a profit. While most of the time you'll be selling what is essentially junk, sometimes you come across a truly priceless item.

Moonlighter has received a number of updates over the past few months, but it's about to get a proper expansion. "Between Dimensions" expands on the main experience by letting you descend into an all-new interdimensional dungeon while filling current dungeons with new creatures. Don't worry, there are new weapons, armors, shop items, and rings. Between Dimensions is already available on PC for $7, and it should be coming to consoles soon.

Some of the new features are listed below.

  • Over a dozen new enemies and mini-bosses.
  • Full set of weapons with a new short sword, a large sword, bow, gloves, and spear.
  • A new set of armor with a helmet, chest piece, and boots.
  • Trick weapons.
  • New rings.
  • Thieves to invade your shop.
  • A new client who's an indecisive customer.
  • A bothersome bird terrorizing your customers.

The final three additions are free to all owners of the game, but if you want to make the most of Moonlighter, I would recommend picking up this fantastic expansion.

Moonlighter is part of Xbox Game Pass for PC. The title features pixelated visuals so it doesn't require a lot of processing power. It's more than likely that your current device can handle it. For example, my HP EliteBook runs at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second without any issues.
