Outriders, the upcoming co-op RPG from People Can Fly and Square Enix, is still a couple of months away. Ahead of its release, the developers have released Outriders Broadcast #4, which detailed a lot of features, including the announcement of Expeditions, the game's post-campaign mode.

Outriders will feature an estimated 40-hour story campaign that you and up to two teammates can play together. However, after the story Expedtiions will provide super difficult missions that'll allow you to unlock powerful weapons and other equipment.

"They're meant to be played with a team of skilled and coordinated Outriders," said Bartek Kmita, creative director of the game.

Expeditions will unlock several "points of interest" on the map and will also reveal new story elements while providing players with more challenges. The developers also promise there won't be any repeat battles from the main campaign.

The broadcast also delved deep into the destructive abilities and skills of the Technomancer. The Technomancer is the fourth and final class available to choose from, joining the Pyromancer, the Trickster, and Devastator.

The Technomancer can put down different constructs such a rocket launcher turret or a minigun to mop up foes, as well as use a unique ability called Fixing Wave to repair all constructs and heal all allies within range. While the Tech Shaman skill tree is focued on dealing indirect damage or keeping constructs in the fight, the Demolisher tree turns your Technomancer into an overall-balanced fighter. You can see more details in the broadcast video below.

After originally being scheduled to release in Holiday 2020, Outriders is now set to arrive on February 2, 2021. It'll be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PC, PS4 and PS5, with a Stadia version arriving at a later date. If you buy the game on Xbox One or PS4, you'll get a free upgrade to the next-generation version. Outriders also supports full cross-play across all platforms.
