A Pirate's Life: Sea of Thieves' massive Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration is live

Sea of Thieves latest, and most ambitious update is now live across Xbox and PC, bringing the universe of Pirates of the Caribbean into the game.

The huge 'Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life' update includes piles of new story features, new enemies to battle, new cosmetics to unlock, and much more, and you can grab it for free right now bundled with a title update via the Microsoft Store.

A Pirate's Life brings famous characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean universe into the game, complete with an original story where players hunt down the infamous Black Pearl ship. There's also a sizeable list of patch notes for the update, detailing some of the season's new features.

  • New season three cosmetics to work towards and unlock
  • New items in the Pirate's Emporium premium cosmetics store
  • Challenging "Trials" to accelerate your progress through season three
  • Phantoms, giant enemy crabs, sirens, and more new enemies
  • New locations and a new "cinematic adventure" featuring Captain Jack Sparrow.

Sea of Thieves is available on Steam and the Microsoft Store for Xbox and PC, and is part of Xbox Game Pass as well, making the game accessible on the web and via Android.

A Pirate's Life is by far Sea of Thieves biggest and most ambitious update, showcasing the expansion of Rare and the IP itself as a force to be reckoned with. Sea of Thieves continues to impress across its engagement metrics on Xbox and sales charts on Steam, as the game continues to defy those early review scores from its launch period to become one of the best Xbox games out there. Rare truly has something special with Sea of Thieves, and it just keeps getting better.
