Rage 2 gets mind-blowing gameplay footage from E3 2018

Today, Bethesda held its annual E3 press event in Los Angeles. A variety of new games were announced and we got an in-depth look at Rage 2 alongside other titles. The publisher provided extended gameplay footage of the vehicle combat as well as shooting mechanics. It was a glorious time for everyone involved!

Rage 2 looks like an insane amount of fun which also leaves a lot of room for experimentation. You can use a variety of weapons and special abilities when taking on dozens of enemies at once. The boss battles have also been dialed up a notch because now they feature massive beasts which would make anyone quiver in fear.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Rage 2 is a first-person shooter which takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Following a catastrophic asteroid impact, Earth is in ruin and numerous individuals are put into underground hibernation. Unfortunately, events don't go according to plan and the surface is overrun by mutants and an oppressive organization known as "The Authority". It's up to you to liberate everyone dismantle the oppressive regime once and for all.

Hopefully Rage 2 will be a polished experience when it launches next year. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more about the project and receive a concrete release date.

  • I did not really like Rage 1, but the sequel looks like more fun. Curious how it will pan out.
  • I loved Rage and hope that Rage 2 doesn't disappoint.
  • so sweet... the first one had glimpses of greatness with the combat, just the animation and such made it difficult to fall in love with it but the look, feel, and scenery were amazing. it looks to continue this but amp it up a ton and incorporate some of the madness that makes just cause fun. remember all those launch issues with the first rage? man that was horrible! seriously though, can't wait!
