Many months ago, Bethesda released Rage 2 on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game is a first-person shooter which takes place in a post-apocalyptic future. Following a catastrophic asteroid impact, Earth is in ruin and numerous individuals are put into underground hibernation. Unfortunately, events don't go according to plan and the surface is overrun by mutants and an oppressive organization known as The Authority.
When the game launched, Bethesda promised two major expansions for Rage 2. Today, the company revealed that the game's first expansion, Rise of the Ghosts, is coming on September 26. The press release we received said that players can expect "a brand-new story in a new region that's littered with the cannibalistic, Feltrite-infused Ghosts, a new Feltrite Laser Launcher to disintegrate those Ghosts, a new Void ability to use the force upon the Ghosts, and more."
Players who don't own the Deluxe Edition can purchase Rise of the Ghosts from the in-game store for 1,500 Rage Coins, or roughly £12, on September 26. You can also upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for 2,000 Rage Coins.
Rage 2 is currently available for $40 on Amazon. The title is a thrilling experience even though it doesn't feature a compelling story. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already. Unfortunately, the latest update appears to introduce a range of performance issues on Xbox One X. A few months ago, the game got a patch to "fix blurriness" on 4K displays. While that download didn't impact performance, it's unclear why this is.
