A few months ago, Respawn Entertainment surprised everyone by announcing that the team was working on a game called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Not much is known about the project, but it seems like it's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and possibly Titanfall 3 could launch by holiday 2019.
During EA's quarterly fiscal report, the company said that Respawn was working on a number of games, which could launch by the next holiday season. You can read the passage from the prepared remarks below.
Anthem has won more than ninety awards, including recognition as one of the most anticipated games of the year, and player feedback continues to be highly positive through our pre-launch testing. We can't wait to see this game come alive for fans at launch and through the long-term live service to come. Across multiple studios, we have new projects underway, including games from Respawn that are slated to launch by next holiday season.
It's great to see that a game that has garnered the public's interest will launch sooner rather than later. Just like Bethesda, developers should announce games when they're almost ready or have a concrete release window. However, EA is known for delaying games at the very last minute so Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may be pushed back to 2020 for all we know.
We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more about the project. It'll be interesting to see which other games Respawn is working on. Titanfall 3 seems guaranteed at this point.
