What you need to know

  • The Halo franchise has gotten a special sale on Steam that allows people to buy Halo games for a discount.
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection is 20 percent off, while Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, Halo: Spartan Assault, and Halo: Spartan Strike are 60 percent off.
  • The deal lasts until April 6, 2020.

The Halo franchise has gotten a surprise sale on Steam, the largest and most popular gaming service on PC. From April 2 until April 6, players can buy Halo: The Master Chief Collection for a 20 percent discount. In addition, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, Halo: Spartan Assault, and Halo: Spartan Strike are all 60 percent off. If you've never played a Halo game before and you're a PC player, there has never been a better time than right now to jump in.

Something players should be aware of, though, is that they won't have access to all of the titles in The Master Chief Collection just yet, as 343 Industries is still working on porting Halo 2, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 to the PC platform. If you buy the full collection now, you'll automatically get access to the games as they become available, though. Plus, both Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary are available to play in the collection right now.

I think it's really cool to see all of the Halo games go on sale, especially right now considering everyone is cooped up in quarantine. What do you think? Are you planning on getting any of these games? Let me know.
