StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void will be released on Nov. 10, check out its opening cinematic

It's taken a long time, but finally Blizzard revealed today that StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, the second and final stand-alone expansion pack to their hit RTS game, will be released on November 10 for Windows and Mac. Blizzard has also posted up the impressive looking CGI cinematic trailer for the expansion.

The game's single-player campaign will focus on the highly advanced Protoss alien race, along with some new multiplayer content for all three playable races. While this is technically an expansion pack for StarCraft II, Legacy of the Void has been designed so that anyone can play its content without needing the main game. This will be the final game in the StarCraft II "trilogy". The first game, Wings of Liberty, came out in July 2010, while the second part, Heart of the Swarm, was released in March 2013.

  • It's about time! Geez... Almost 6 years after the first episode
  • Even though I don't play SC, I can say that looks prime. I really enjoyed watching it.
  • I will avoid this candy with a wide berth. I can't afford the time that would eventually be spent playing this.
  • Finally. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be sick around november 10 maybe even for a week with a doctor's note saying i can't work the entire time.
  • I hope they haven't overworked it like they did with Heart Of The Swarm, that story was a huge disappointment. My life for Aiur!
  • The original has taken more time from life than any other game past or future could. No better game for LAN parties in college at the time.
  • If only SC2 had LAN support. Those were great times.
  • Would be totally sweet if SC2 had LAN.. We play SC alot in LAN parties lol..
  • what's an alot?
  • Good video but after stretching everything for money and losing interest I won't be buying it. The magic is lost
  • Yes, finally!
  • I wish they would release Warcraft 4!! Instead of releasing bloody world of Warcraft!
  • What's left to do? The next xpac will finish lots of loose ends: Emerald nightmare, legion, likely sargeras (subsequent patch), and even the infinite dragonflight. WC4 would just be Farmville with Orcs, Humans, Elves, Goblins, Worgen, Gnomes, Undead, Tauren, Dwarves, and Pandas. Teehee. Seriously, though, WC4 would be interesting if they could find lore to write that jives.
  • Well they have started to hire delevopers to work on WC4 hopefully we might see it in 2956 lol
  • "Power Overwhelming" -Archon
  • Blizzard cinematics are a joy to watch.
  • Finally!
