Tesco Mobile starts selling the Lumia 435 in Ireland for €80

The price is steep considering that Carphone Warehouse is selling the same device in the UK for just £29.99 ($45).

In terms of specs, the Lumia 435 offers a 4-inch LCD display with a resolution of 800 x 480, dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8 gigs of on-board storage along with a microSD card slot, 2MP fixed-focus camera at the back and VGA shooter up front along with a 1,560mAh battery. Not the fastest device in the world, but it will be updated to Windows 10 for phones when the operating system launches later this year.

  • Cause in this article its € (Euro) not £ (pound)  ;)
  • Ah okay missed that small sign
  • Because of Euro
  • Seems way too overpriced for what you are getting, especially if its locked to Tesco Mobile.
  • Tesco obviously haven't a clue, the price is way off the mark, then they wonder why sales are suffering.

  • That is verrry steep...
  • Agreed.
  • £29.99 is pay as you go upgrade where as £39.99+£10 top up for new connection. Why your reporting is ambiguous?
  • The title clearly states "Ireland", not UK.
  • Dude, read first line of article once again.

  • IMO a price above €60 (sim-free) is not good for this entry-level Lumia ...
