  • TP-Link announced the Archer AX206 and Archer AX96 routers at CES 2021.
  • The ARcher AX206 supports speeds of up to 10 Gbps.

TP-Link announced several new Archer routers, including the AX11000 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router with 10G Ports (Archer AX206) that supports Wi-Fi speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Alongside that speedy AX11000, TP-LInk announced the AX7800 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (Archer AX X96) that supports Wi-Fi 6E. TP-Link hasn't shared pricing or availability details for the new routers, other than stating that they'll arrive in 2021.

The Archer AX11000 is a 10G router that supports Wi-Fi speeds up to 10 Gbps. It supports the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi 6E, which covers more frequencies than the standard 2.4GHz and 5Ghz routers. It also supports TP-Link HomeShield, which helps protect devices on your network and provides options for parental controls. On the wired side of things, the Archer AX11000 has a 10 Gbps WAN/LAN SFP+ port, a 10 Gbps WAN/LAN port, and a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port.

The Archer AX7800 is slower than the Archer AX11000, but it still supports incredibly fast speeds of up to 7,800 Mbps with tri-band Wi-Fi. It also supports the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi 6E. The router features smart antennas that boost coverage and improve its wireless connection. It also supports AI-driven mesh and seamless roaming, which enables you to move around your home without losing a connection. Like the other new Archer router, the Archer AX96 supports TP-Link HomeShield.

TP-LInk also announced the Deco Voice X20 at CES 2021 today, which combines a smart speaker with a mesh Wi-Fi 6 system.

  • This router has a maximum of 2.5Gbps wired speed and can provide a maximum data rate of 4804 Mbps for a compatible connected wireless client. It certainly is nowhere near 10Gbps. Not even halfway to 10Gbps. Sean why are you lying and publishing an article that says it can do up to 10Gbps? Ah I see that the article is linking to the wrong product. Here is the correct one.
