Trova il 6 is a Windows Phone puzzle game that can easily drive you nuts. The premise of Trova il 6 (which is Italian for Find the 6) is simple and true to the gaming title; pick out all the number sixes that are hidden amongst a bunch of nines.
While that may sound simple, the games are timed and the field of numbers will change every few seconds. You might be surprised how difficult it is to find a 6 out of a crowded field of 9s. Did I say there were a bunch of nines?
Available for low-memory Windows Phones, we were tipped on Trova il 6 by a few readers and found the Windows Phone game to be an enjoyable, although frustrating at times, game to pass the time with.
Trova il 6's main menu is laid out in simple fashion with options to jump into game play, view your gaming records, access the gaming instructions and view the developer credits. Trova il 6 doesn't have any settings (probably doesn't need any) and the Windows Phone game offers up three gaming modes that are based on the duration of the gaming timer and includes 60, 120 and 180 second games.
The gaming screen for Trova il 6 has your scoring information and timer displayed above the gaming field and a 12 x 12 grid of 6 and 9 numbers. Your goal is to find as many number sixes before the clock strikes zero.
This can be more challenging that it sounds because it is surprisingly difficult to locate one six out of a crowded field of nines. You also have the pressure of the game clock and every few seconds the game field changes. Just tap on the six to collect it and if you happened to tap a nine instead, you'll earn a few points but in doing so, the game board shifts sooner.
While I enjoyed playing Trova il 6 there is some room for improvement. For starters, while the 12 x 12 playing field hides the sixes extremely well it creates very small numbers that can be tough to tap. It makes me wonder if a 10 x 10 grid would increase the size of the numbers without jeopardizing the challenge of the game.
I also would like to see the numbers highlighted to confirm you have tapped on the right numeral. As is, you really aren't sure if you are tapping a six or a nine unless you glance at the score, which will cost you a second of gaming time.
I do like how the colors of the number shifts as the numbers shifts. It adds to the challenge of finding those darn sixes.
Trova il 6 is a fun, challenging Windows Phone game that will help you pass short periods of time. I can also seeing it being an entertaining pass/play game to share amongst friends for bragging rights.
In many respects, Trova il 6 is a game of picking needles out of a haystack. Out of the 144 numbers in the playing field, only a few are sixes and when mixed in with a bunch of nines, the numbers begin to look the same.
I'm not sure if Trova il 6 can hold up to lengthy gaming sessions but for shorter periods, it does nicely. It is a game that will test your skills of speed, concentration and observation.
Early on, Trova il 6 is pulling down a 5 Star rating in the Windows Phone Store. We might dial this rating down just a bit but won't quibble over half a star. If you try Trova il 6, let us know what you think of the game in the comments below. Also, don't forget to rate the game in the Windows Phone Store to give the developer feedback on their work.

Yes, I don't understand.
Probably something to do with Windows 10.
Doubtful. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
No online rankings. The grid always changes while you are tapping a six, it should give some visual warning. A by the numbers app really.
69, nice combination...
