This week's Red Stripe Deals, Super Monkey Ball 2, glƏƏk! and Hockey Nations

Microsoft has unleashed this weeks Windows Phone Red Stripe Deals. Pricing has been slashed on the Xbox game Super Monkey Ball 2, glƏƏk!, and Hockey Nations PP.
For those not familiar, every week Microsoft discounts the pricing on a Windows Phone Xbox title as well as a app and game from independent developers. You easily identify them by the red stripe that surrounds the app/games Store icon tile.
Super Monkey Ball 2
Super Monkey Ball 2 is this week's Xbox gaming title where you take your monkey through 125 themed mazes to collect bananas and avoid dangers. There are several minigames as well.
Super Monkey Ball 2 is a fast paced and challenging arcade game that you can pick up here (opens in new tab) at the Windows Phone Store. There is a trial version and the full version is currently being offered at the reduced price of $.99.
Update: We've received a report that Super Monkey Ball 2 can't be downloaded on Windows Phone 8 devices with 512 MB of RAM (even though it runs fine on WIndows Phone 7 devices). Please let us know if this affects you in the comments below.
Gleek!
glƏƏk! is a feature rich Twitter client for your Windows Phone. Along with viewing timelines, mentions, friends and sending out tweets, gleek! allows for color coding of tweeps, integration with Local Scout, the ability to view random tweets (known as pƏƏks) and much more.
Oh... you also have full Unification Notifications support and voice commands.
If you're looking for a heavy weight Twitter app, take a gander at glƏƏk!. There is a trial version available to let you try things out and with the Red Stripe Deal, the price of the full version is now only $.99. You can find glƏƏk! here in the (opens in new tab) Windows Phone Store.
Hockey Nations PP
Hockey Nations PP is a game for all the hockey fans in the crowd. The International hockey game has teams from eighteen countries or you can pick your favorite local team from forty worldwide city teams.
Hockey Nations PP has six game modes that include World League, Go for Gold, Shootout, Exhibition, Playoff and Practice. The gaming experience includes all the fast paced action hockey offers along with player fights.
Not sure if hockey is your game of choice? There is a trial version of Hockey Nations PP to let you try before you buy. The full version is currently running $1.99 as the Red Stripe Deal. You can find Hockey Nations PP here in the (opens in new tab) Windows Phone Store.
If you've been on the fence with any of these three Windows Phone titles, now might be the time to make the jump and pick them up. Just remember the discounted price will only last a week.

Hmmm, I like Hockey, I will give it a try.

Bought SMB2 at original price a few months ago. I think it was worth the price, and still no where near half completion! I have no problem with the controls so I don't know why is everyone complaining about it >.>

How 'bout some Red Stripe beer! Yum
-
Hurray beer!

Funny you say that, When ever "Red Stripe" is said, that is what I think of....

& both of these games require 1GB RAM..
What's the use of Adreno 305 GPU's when we cant play good games..
Nokia Lumia 520, 620 & 720 cant play it.. -
I have the Super Monkey Ball 2 version that Nokia provided to Lumia owners for free. I've played it a couple of times, but I did find it hard to control. But if I didn't already have it, I would definitely give the trial a go, and consider a purchase at this price.

Picked up SMB2, mostly good deals since the DOTW came back
-
I was just thinking of switching to Gleek too....
-
@George : how does your cover doesnt get dirty??? i used that original cover barely for a week.. :@
-
Super Monkey Ball 2 crashes and reboots my phone :(
-
Does Gleek! (paid) have an independent light theme? Or does it just support the light theme from the phone settings? (On that same note, I'd love to see a light theme for WPCentral, Jay!)

Grabbed Super Monkey Ball and it's surprisingly fun! Controls aren't perfect, and the lack of a button to recalibrate the gyroscope controls is sorely missed, but it's a huge improvement over the first game, which was downright terrible and nearly unplayable due to it's horrid controls. If anyone is a fan of the console versions or the (great IMO) DS version then snap this up immediately!
