Windows Phone 7 featured in AT&T Ads

Two AT&T ads have surfaced on YouTube featuring the HTC Mondrian. We've seen speculation that the Mondrian was headed to AT&T but nothing as strong as an advertisement.

AT&T has long been considered at the forefront of the Windows Phone 7 launch and could have as many as six devices in their Windows Phone 7 lineup. While the ads don't shed much light on when the Mondrian will be available, is it safe to say that with these ads the Mondrian will be one of the six?

Follow the break to see the second ad featuring the HTC Mondrian for AT&T.

  • I really like the messaging. Refreshing.
  • These have to be the best phone ads in a long time.
  • When people started running into things it got pretty funny.
  • And ppl wonder why MS ads are so lame.
Typical madision ave PC garbage - smart woman with dumbass guy. Why can't the WP7 ads be cool and witty like the Verizon Droid commercials? Gawd help this launch if all the ads are this gay
  • I agree that Microsoft advertising is way off sometimes but both these adds keep it simple and to the point. A simple to use phone that you don't have to go into multiple locations to find out what you want to know. Just had a look at a bunch of different droid commercials and not sure what you mean by cool and witty...but each person has an opinion for a reason...have fun with your droid.
  • >cool and witty like the Verizon Droid commercials We should never hang out. ?_? Seriously, while Verizon has been successful with Droid, those commercials are *far* from "cool and witty". Annoying? Yes. I also find these new Microsoft ads to be quite effective, for once and think you'll be in the minority on this one.
  • Who in the world sees adverts where people turn into robots when they use their phone "witty"? Amazing.
  • Brilliant Ads! "Less stop and stare, more glance and go." Really clever!
  • Advertising has never been something MS did well with their mobility stuff, these are no exception. Forgettable, the kind of ads you skip through. It's obviously not their goal to have distinctive advertising as they've achieved blandness.
  • Good advertisements, but they shouldn't go too far with this. People WANT a phone that they can stare at a lot because it's fun to play with. Of course WP7 will be really fun to use, so I hope they don't focus TOO much on the start screen (as awesome as it is).
  • the only good msft phone ad that was any good was the oeriginal blackjack ad a few years back. 1) these ads need to be demonstrations of what you get/can do. 2) they need to focus on their differentiation and show a killer app that the competition lacks. 3) target different demo graphic audieences by demonstrating different differentiators/apps. build the case that these phones are different, and they're fun and they're useful. please!
  • Is that the blonde who play Nick Cage's wife in "Con Air"?
  • Laughing my hind side off. The look on the blonde womans face after the gentleman in front of her refuses to budge is priceless! Very effective at demonstrating glaceable info advantage over the deep dive into an app to locate what your looking for!
  • Am I the only one that noticed the screen on the first ad looks (poorly) computer generated. It keeps moving side to side while she's holding hte screen still. That was distracting lol. I think if I didn't know a lot about WP7 and didn't watch the first ad already I wouldn't really get the second one.
