WMExperts Prize-A-Day, Day 16

Kathy's post in yesterday's contest was right - the best way to be productive is to play some games every now and then. So today's prize is a game of your choice from the WMExperts Software Store (up to $30 US in value).

How to Win

I can't believe I haven't asked this before: What phone are you using now and what phone would you like to use if money were no object? Crazy, no? Post a comment on this entry between now and noon EST tomorrow, March 7th to enter.

Don't Forget: every entry doubles as an entry for the Grand Prize and the two Second Prizes - A Smartphone of your choice plus $300 to spend in the WMExperts store and a couple of Slingbox Pros. I should mention that we only have a few days left in our Prize-A-Day contest, so if you have some special-someone who needs a chance to upgrade their phone (or get a Slingbox!), let them know about us, hey?

  • I use a Treo 700wx on Verizon's network. I'd like to use the 750 but I'm stuck with Verizon.
  • I am using the XV6700 on Verizons Network. Right now I like it, but I am thinking about moving to the 750 if Verizon ever gets going on it.
  • Treo 700w currently, I'd love to have a WM6 version of the Treo
  • I'm very happy with my 700wx, but I would like to use some of the newer HTC devices with WM6 and GPS integrated into them. It seems that all the gadget (and WM) love goes to the GSM camp and leaves us devotees of CDMA out in the cold.
If price was no object (and technology flew out the window and GSM worked on CDMA networks) I would have the HTC S730. It seems to have everything...
  • 700W... would love a 750. when will last week's winners be posted?
  • I use the Treo 700w on Verizon (duh), but wish I'd waited for the 700wx
  • I'm using a Cingular Treo 750 as my main device right now, and I have an 8525 that is basically acting as a paperweight on my desk. I also have a BlackJack on the FEDEX truck for delivery today, so that means that I'll have all 3 of Cingular's 3G WM5 phones :D But which device would I want if money were no object...well what I would like is something like the Blackjack with a 2.5" landscape (VGA would be nice) screen, WM6 professional OS, and all of the data connectivity that we have grown accustom to. I know, this device doesn't exist, but if money isn't an issue, then I'm sure some company would take on my design and build me something ;-)
  • I use a number of different devices, as for a Windows Mobile device, I am using a Treo 700wx on Sprints Power Network.
I also have a Blackberry 8703 on the same network, but I am giving the Treo the benefit of the doubt and my Blackberry is turned off (I am giving it a month).
If money were no object, and I had to carry only one device, I think I am going to wait for the Treo 800 series to be available on Sprint. . .maybe it will have WM6 and Worldwide service. . .
  • Currently I use an O2 XDA III PocketPC and I'd like to use the O2 XDA Orbit or (when it gets available soon) the i-mate Ultimate 7150. (Especially because I want to try how I like it to work with a full keyboard this time!)http://www.claimid.com/philipp-grunwald
  • Money doesn't generally factor too much, I can always sell my current device and get a few bucks back (spoken like a true addict!)
The true hurdle is GSM/CDMA technology and the carrier issues. Honestly, the device of my dreams would be the Dash.. with a 3G radio. On Sprint or Verizon :)
But if the 755 were to come out with a CDMA Windows Mobile version, I may move on it (internal antenna yummy)
  • I'm currently using a Treo 650 on the Cingular network. It was okay for like the first month that I got it. But after that brief nostalgia wore off - I soon discovered it's many, MANY faults.
If money were no object - I'd use an unlocked - straight from the manufacturer HTC TyTn. Feature for feature - there's not a handset (in my opinion) that matches it (Bluetooth 2.0, 2.0MP camera, secondary VGA camera, slide out keyboard, dedicated number keys on the keyboard (a HUGE fault on the HTC Wizard/Cingular 8125), UTMS/HSDPA). Now granted the iPhone is all 'innovative' but it doesn't even have Bluetooth 2.0 or a UTMS/HSDPA radio so why even bother? The Samsung Ultra Smart F700 is nice looking as well but it's not compatible (at least for now) with the North America network.
  • I have a Treo 700p from Verizon. It isn't perfect, but it's SOOO much better than the Treo 650 that I'm pretty satisfied.
If money were no object, however, just for fun I would find a way to pay somebody at Apple to let me beta-test an iPhone! :-)
  • I am using a 70Wx. I am pretty happy with it, but would welcome an upgrade to a 750 (with WM6 of course).
  • camera-less Treo 650 (due to workplace constraints), but would love to upgrade to the 700p or the moto q (stuck on sprint, cause i love data), but if money's no object I'd take an oqo 2 with evdo built in and use a bluetooth headset to call my contacts via skype or something similar (hey, if money doesn't matter why settle for a plain old phone)http://www.bloggingneworleans.com
  • I currently have the Samsung i730
I want to get the Samsung 1760http://www.imjosh.com
  • Using a Cingular 2125. If money were no object, maybe an LG Prada? Franky, I'd settle for an 8525 right now. Want to make a deal, Jeff? :)
  • I'm currently using a PPC-6700 (HTC Apache) on Sprint's network. If money were no object, I'd gladly go for an XDA O2 Flame or an i-mate Ultimate 7150. =)
  • Sanyo SCP-8100 is my current phone. What kind of phone would I use if money were no object? I have no clue. Guess I'd use a JAQ3 or some HTC phone that has WM6...honestly I don't know.http://www.justanothermobilemonday.com
  • I am using a 650 with sprint, but would love to move up to the wx.
  • Currently using an HTC Wizard. If I could afford to right now I'd probably upgrade to the Hermes. Simple evolutionary upgrade.
  • I'm using a Treo 650 but would like to move to an HTC with WM6, 3.5G or EDGE, Wifi, keyboard....http://www.unicellar.com
  • Not using any WM phone now. And I like any WM6 Pocket PC w/Phone (Whatever the MS guys calling it, professional, standard, I dont know)http://justanothermobilemonday.com
  • def. something simbian... i've always liked the Sony Ericsson 800,850,900 stuff. haven't kept up with it lately cause i can't afford one and i'm not even sure which providers in the US will work with them.
  • I've got a Nokia E62 through Cingular and regret the decision to try the Symbian OS. I miss my old Treo 650. I'd love to move up to the Treo 750http://www.fischerprecise.com
  • I use an SMT5600 and am very interested in the upcoming HTC S710 (Vox).
  • any winners from last week?http://www.justanothermobilemonday.com
  • Indeed there are, Ravi. I'll get them up this afternoon. :)http://wmexperts.com
  • Just got the 700wx on Verizon (after a too long wait). Loving it so far, but the data plan price kills me and with no coverage at home, built-in wifi would be very nice.
  • I currently using a Cingular Treo 750 that I purchased new on ebay. I bought an unlock code, unlocked it, popped my T-mobile sim card in and Voila! Works like a charm. I have downloaded all my medical books and things I need for work. It works great. I had an unlocked Treo 600 for 3 years and loved it. I hated to part with it, but the battery was dying.
If I had the money to buy anything I wanted? Well, I am a Treo fan tried and true, all I want is the latest and greatest! Just give me the money to buy a new one every time one debuts and the money to buy out my cell phone contract so I can switch if needed.
