The Xbox Series X is almost upon us. Launching in around a year from now, the beastly next-gen Xbox console is expected to push 4K resolutions as standard with 60 frames per second, with developers able to reach for 8K 120 FPS in some scenarios. The most striking thing about it, thus far, is the design.

The Xbox Series X is monolithic in its design, prompting a wave of memes comparing it from everything to refrigerators to the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. The cuboid shape has vast potential to lend itself to limited-edition versions too, and one prolific 3D artist on Twitter has given us a glimpse at what this might look like.

XboxPope on Twitter makes a range of amazing fan concepts for limited edition video game consoles, mostly Xbox. He's turned his creative eye to building a Halo-oriented Xbox Series X, with a textured UNSC armor design that looks similar to the game's tanks and other military vehicles and weapons. He's also built concepts for Cyberpunk 2077, Hellblade II, and Gears of War. They all look truly incredible, and we can't wait to see the first limited edition consoles that emerge from Microsoft's design team.

What sort of limited edition Xbox Series X consoles would you like to see? Let us know.
