Dell is one the top makers of laptop computers in the U.S. The company, which has been around since the mid-1980s, has a long line of laptop computers that include the Inspiron, Latitude, XPS and Alienware models. The Latitude line features business-class devices in the 13-inch to 15-inch range. All of the Latitude devices are available with an i5 or i7 processor, and many have an available extra battery for longer use.

The Inspiron line from Dell are budget devices that feature good hardware at an affordable price. There are many current models in the Inspiron line, offering processors like the AMD Athlon II Neo K125, AMD Athlon II Neo K325, or Intel Core i3-330UM.

Alienware models, a company which Dell acquired in 2006, are some of the top gaming machines in the business. Current laptop models vary in screen size and include the Alienware 17-R2, Alienware 15, and Alienware 13. These Alienware laptops offer features like the Nvidia GeForce 900 Series, rear ports for graphics amplifier, FHD matte display or UHD touch display.
