Forza Horizon 3 tip: Use the drone to locate your barn finds

The world map in Forza Horizon 3 is enormous. Covering an area twice the size of Forza Horizon 2, there's an awful lot of it to explore. There are many things to find out there, but one of the most rewarding are the barn finds. These legendary classic cars have been left to rot in the Australian wilderness and it's your job to find and restore them.

But they're not easy to find, that's part of the challenge. You can take the easy route and buy the treasure map that leads you straight to them. But where's the fun in that? If you're struggling, though, break out your drone to help you locate them a little easier.

The drone mode feature isn't unlocked at first; you need to spend a single skill point to do that and I recommend it being the first thing you spend one of those on. Once unlocked it allows you to get out of the car and explore the world around you using a drone. It's far easier to locate barn finds by getting up high and going for a literal spin — and you don't have to dodge around so many trees!

The barn finds are located somewhere within the purple circle displayed on your map, but the area is still fairly sizeable and doesn't usually involve using roads to get to the barns. By using the drone you can quickly scan this area, see the barn, then go back to the car and drive over.

While you have the drone out, too, hit the view button to remove the on-screen UI and snap a screenshot. You can grab some really beautiful Forza photographs this way!
