SpecialEffect is holding its One Special Day initiative today, in support of the video game charity. As a part of the event, 30 video game companies will be fundraising over the 24-hour period, to help the charity reach its goal of £25,000.

Many companies have chosen to donate all or a portion of today's revenue to SpecialEffect, including The Chinese Room, First Touch Games, and Ripstone. A full list of developers and titles supporting the initiative can be found on the One Special Day website, with links the storefronts that contribute toward the final donations.

Special events are being hosted in support of the day, including nDreams' 'Great Assembly Bake Off', Ripstone's charity Twitch stream and £5 donations from Insert Coin with each sale of its birthday t-shirt.

SpecialEffect is also hosting an ongoing charity auction, to be in with the chance of grabbing some unique gaming goodies. As always, donations can also be made through the event's Just Giving fundraising page.
