505 Games' underwater atmospheric adventure game, Abzu, is now on course for a Windows Store release this holiday season. Following a successful launch PlayStation 4 and Steam, the game is making its way to both Xbox One and Windows 10 over the coming weeks.
Although Abzu's physical release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has been known for some time now, today's announcement confirms its availability on digital storefronts. However, while Abzu's physical release is set for January of next year, the game will also be available from the Xbox Store as of December 6. No further clarification was provided on the game's Windows Store version, aside from a release before the holidays.
In celebration of the game's launch on Xbox One, Abzu is also seeing a 15% price reduction for the game's first week on the Xbox Store. After this period, the game will be priced at $19.99.
With Microsoft's recent focus on cross-platform purchases and multiplayer, we've also reached out to 505 Games to clarify whether Abzu will support the Xbox Play Anywhere Initiative.
