What is Steelcase?

Steelcase is one of the world's leading brands when it comes to office chairs, desks, and accessories, and it actually got its start in 1912, more than 113 years ago. Its headquarters are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, US.

Does Steelcase offer a good warranty?

Yes. Steelcase offers a limited 12-year warranty on parts and labor for its chairs, as well as a 12-year warranty on "mechanical, worksurface and electrical components" for its sit/stand desks. The monitor arm I've highlighted here also has a 12-year standard warranty.

Are Steelcase products easy to assemble?

Although I haven't assembled a Steelcase chair myself, reviews suggest that it's no difficult task. The Steelcase website says that the Gesture can be assembled in less than two minutes without requiring any tools. Just watch out for the weight of the pieces before assembling.

What else does Steelcase sell?

Where does Steelcase ship its products?

Steelcase ships within the US and Canada. Because its packaging is not export approved, it cannot ship outside of these locations.

Does Steelcase offer free shipping?

In some cases, yes, Steelcase does offer free shipping. This only applies to orders weighing less than 150 pounds, in which case FedEx Ground is used. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii costs more.

For heavier products, you're looking at shipping costs equating to 15% of your order subtotal, and that's with a $99 minimum fee.

Steelcase also offers a professional installation service, which costs 20% of the order subtotal with a minimum of $249. Your order will arrive at your house, and someone will set it up for you.
