Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is now available for preorder on Xbox One. The title comes with a code for Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation and costs $59.99.
The game continues the story from the third and fourth games in the series it seems. Players are tasked with taking out a new threat posted by an army of pilotless jets this time around.
Ace Combat 7 should hit Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 18, 2019. PC gamers will be able to pick up the game a little later on February 1 on Steam. It's unclear if the game supports Xbox One X at the moment.

After a year delay, the game better be enhanced for the Xbox One X. And God help them if it is enhanced for Pro, but not for One X. I smell a boycott brewing.
Exactly. It'll be a blurry mess on a base Xbox One.
I doubt it'll be that bad. We're not going to be dealing with Ace Combat 5 on PS2, or even Ace Combat 6 on Xbox 360 (which still looks pretty good, at least overall). It'll just run at a lower resolution than PS4 or probably Xbox One X (probably 720p or 900p), but I doubt it'll be a blurry mess unless Namco actually goes out of their way to make it one. That being said, yes, XB1X support is a must. Though considering the game is also coming to PC, I think it's probably inevitable. Now whether or not it'll make full use of the hardware....
I haven't played a jet fighter game since the old days of Afterburner. This looks great. I may have to check it out.
