Acer announces availability for new Swift 3 and Aspire 5 laptops

Acer announced availability for two upcoming laptops today, the Swift 3 and Aspire 5. The Swift 3 runs on an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 4700U mobile processor, and the Aspire 5 runs on the latest 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U mobile processor. The Swift 3 will be available in April starting at $630, and the Aspire 5 will be available in June starting at $520.

The Swift 3 has Radeon Graphics to go along with its Ryzen 4700U processor. The laptop has a 14-inch FHD display. Acer highlights its 0.22-inch bezels that allow the Swift 3 to have an 82.73% screen-to-body ratio. According to Acer, the Swift 3 gets up to 11.5 hours of battery life on a full charge and can get up to four hours of battery life after 30 minutes of charging.

The Aspire 5 pairs the Ryzen 4500U processor with Radeon Graphics. It features an FHD 15.6-inch IPS display with narrow bezels. It has TrueHarmony technology to deliver "true-to-life colors." It comes with up to 24GB of memory, up to a 1TB PCIe SSD, and up to a 2TB HDD.

Both laptops will be available later this year, with the Swift 3 coming in April and the Aspire 5 coming in June.
